I'm pretty sure rifle grenades are not even legal as NFA items.

I mean, AIUI, Nevada allows private ownership of non-demilitarized tanks. A 40mm grenade launcher on a semi-auto seems tame in comparison, though concealment is somewhat easier.

I've heard of people launching golf balls with a SKS rifle grenade launcher.

Turn it around for putting. Might not be ideal for intermediate ranges, though.

Im delighted Nevada, quite rightly, must be classing tanks as recreational vehicles. :)

How does the las vegas tank museum get around this, as some of their vehicles seem to have functioning main armament?

Main armament, larger than .50 in, is classified as a destructive device and needs a federal license to own.  There was an auction near me a month or two ago that had three or four "NFA" items that were on tracks including a 105mm Centurion and an M3A1 Stuart.

Something not a grenade, that makes smoke or is inert isn't a DD.

Firing tennis balls out of an SMLE with the cup launcher for Mills bombs is entirely legal. Obviously you use blanks.

That's me on the left in the black beret.

An M14 with a stripper clip guide? Oh my...

Standard on GI rifles.  The M14 I was issued in '75 had one, as does my M1A.

When the M14 was developed, reloading magazines through the receiver with stripper clips (a la Lee Enfields) was considered the preferred reloading method, with each soldier issued two mags.  Actually changing magazines was considered an emergency measure.  Obviously, that didn't last long.

Kalashnikov plans to launch serial production of the AM-17 assault rifle
It is intended to replace the AKS74U, which was adopted into service in 1979.

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. The AM-17 compact assault rifle has been improved based on the results of its use in the special operation zone; its serial production is planned to begin in 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Kalashnikov concern.

"JSC Concern Kalashnikov plans to begin in 2025 the development of serial production of the 5.45-mm AM-17 compact assault rifle, improved based on the results of combat testing in the SVO zone. The AM-17 was designed in the design and technology center of the concern taking into account the requirements for modern automatic small arms. The AM-17 assault rifle should replace the AKS74U assault rifle adopted into service in 1979," the concern reported.

In the last few years Russian companies have developed quite a few machine guns for pilots/crews to replace AKS-74U. Check for PP-2000, PP-2011 Kedr-Para, and PPK-20 in 9mm caliber. Perhaps other readers can comment.

Why waste time and money on a DMR, when you can just pick up a Marlin 336 at a pawn shop?

I'm not a big pawn shop shopper. The times I have stopped in pawn shops just to look around it seems that prices are very high on not just guns but every thing.
