I noticed that; how does he get free world guns in?

I think he requires class attendees to tell him what they're bringing, to ensure legal compliance.

I got a CloudFlare denial when I clicked on that site.

EU data protection regulations strike again. With a VPN set to America it works.

In a way. You get a 404 but if you go 'back to home' you get to the login page.

Ah.  It's still a bit surprising that a ban state allows them in; I guess he's protected by his federal licensing (FFL, SOT and all that).  Do students have to ship their guns ahead?  I'd be worried about the police if stopped in MD while carrying my rifle to or from a class.

Me too. It'll be awhile before I could go there for a class, but his location is up in the NE corner of MD. One could stay in a motel in DE and drive over, its only a few miles. I think one could sorta flank MD by driving mostly thru PA.

It sounds like there are very complicated rules in MD.

What's the legal situation if you transport your rifle disassembled and in a locked bag(s)?

In other news. The end credits are comedy gold.

Depends on Maryland law and the zeal of the cops.  'The [Maryland] law prohibits the possession, sale, transfer, or purchase of specific military-style firearms, including the AR-15 and AK-47, and limits gun magazines to 10 rounds', so even a disassembled and locked rifle may be considered a violation.

It may be that non-residents can bring such rifles into Maryland for courses, but I will definitely learn the details before bringing a rifle to a SOTAR class.

Back in the 90s, when I lived in Virginia, I attended a GSSF match in MD. My understanding of the rules at the time was that I was technically OK as long as I was driving to the match, participating in the match, and driving back out of state. I made sure I did not need a bathroom break anywhere in MD, as that could be construed as violating the law.

Huh? Didn't the Supreme Court rule thstbyou can't ban firearms that are in common use? And both the AK and AR are quite common, aren't they?

Yes, they did.  That, however, does not stop stupid, corrupt people from passing such laws.

There is all sorts of lawfare, financed by billionare activists, that continually challenge legal findings and seek to bankrupt 2A-related businesses with repeated frivolous lawsuits.

From the SOTAR website, 'Course Information':

I mean, AIUI, Nevada allows private ownership of non-demilitarized tanks. A 40mm grenade launcher on a semi-auto seems tame in comparison, though concealment is somewhat easier.

I'm pretty sure rifle grenades are not even legal as NFA items.

I think the ones that are colour markers are allowed as they don't go boom.

You need a big trench coat indeed to hide a T-55.

Yep, chalk rounds are legal--unless they aren't. 😒

I've heard of people launching golf balls with a SKS rifle grenade launcher.
