Wouldn't that "extra armour" snag on the moving tracks? I can see some model kits being made from this scene :D

Best regards

Whatever the hell that is versus T-55s and T-72s along with a plethora of BMPs and ZSUs....those rebels are definitely not on the upper hand. And the Syrian Air Force hasn't even been utilized yet either.

Second BMP fires towards cameraman

#1 lesson for wannabe combat cameramen: When you see a long pole-like thing with a hole in the end pointed at you, move!

Maybe we need a new drinking game...every time you hear Allah Akbar after a mujahedin scores a tank you take a sip of your favorite drink...:)

BMP-1 hit by RPG? followed by the usual Allah Wabkar... it does get very irritating after the 70th time...

They still did not give those early T-72s proper side skirts?

Yeah, it's a truck standing behind a tank. :P

Damned tricky Syrians. :D

More Syrian T-72s...I still think all these pics and the suddenly available video footage are pretty cool. Over the years, pics of Syrian T-72s (any Syrian tanks really), were almost non-existent. This is great...

Why the heck do they still have snorkels attached to the side of the turrets? How many rivers would the syrians have to cross if they decided to invade a nearby country?

Because it makes it a lot easier to carry tarp on your tanks!

Each Russian tank has its snorkel with itself at any time. With the T-72 it is fastened to the left turret side. Everything like it to be is.

Any pics so far about the upgraded T-72s by that Italian firm?

Are these actually T-72As or T-72M1s? I thought the Soviets didn't export to the actual T-72A?

Didn't the Syrians have some with K-5 ERA too?

They are T-72M1 (see additional hull armour plate, 4 KMT sockets, lack of radiation lining).
