EchoFiveMike Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Team Sunni is about to implode in a spectacular fashion,Cool, got popcorn, got a tasty beverage, all prepared to point and laugh. S/F.....Ken M
Colin Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Below are your two MAJOR problems, w/r to power.Detroit Diesel 6V-53T 300 hp turbocharged diesel.Allison X-200-4 four-speed automatic transmission. Detroit's flat out s**k arse. They can't pull for shiite, and any type of incline, under a load = you will be doing a lot of down-shifting. They just don't have the nuts. WTF the .Mil have had a love affair with them, must be the by-product of a bad joke gone horribly wrong.A Cummins would have been better, a CAT would have been best...but they stopped making truck engines, due to emissions BS. "GALLICTIC IF" the .Mil had one active brain-cell among them, they would have a sit-down with CAT, forego the emissions BS, and get a contract with them to produce C15s and C18s for their vehicles. //addendum.MAC also makes a decent engine and transmission, though for best results, Eaton Fuller with a twin-turbo C15/18 ACERT.I found that in boats the DD's had a lot more acceleration than comparable engines. That edge has has been eroded by newer engines.
DKTanker Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Just in time for Ramadan too.Ramadan no longer matters, Democrat in office.
Simon Tan Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Screw that wannabe Sunni. When I break my fast, I like to see some Ikhwandia bleeding out on AJ as I sip my chai.

rmgill Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Oh hey, E5M, congrats on getting some moderately reasonable Concealed carry laws in Illinois!
Simon Tan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 As predicted, the infighting is now open in Syria as FSA and jihadis are about to turn on each other. This message was brought to you by Tanknet Intel and the letter Y.
Ivanhoe Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Syria is now part of Egypt? Holy crap, tune out the news for a day... Seriously, looking at a regional map and contemplating the rise of Islamist political parties from Algeria to Turkey, its pretty obvious that copper and zinc ain't gettin' any cheaper. Ivanhoe Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Yeah, should a strongman appear, things will get up to a rolling boil pretty quickly. I would like to think wiser heads in the US and Israel would recognize the threat and do a decap strike, but the foreign policy industry still believes in compromise and negotiation with folks who saw the heads off journalists.

Simon Tan Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 And now the war in the shadows can no longer be hidden. Morsi was of course eyeballs deep in Team Sunni and this above all else prompted the military to act. The Ikhwan were quietly building their private militia by skimming off the Team Sunni pipeline from Libya. Morsi was warned to cease and desist but he felt, Erdogan like. What you have not seen is the COIN operation in the Sinai and the sweeps of foreign fighters. They do not exist, thus they cannot vanish.
Simon Tan Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 And on cue, Gen Sisi lets slip the dogs of war. Remember kiddies, TN scoops again.
Marek Tucan Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Seems that last night was really bloody in cairo... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23707439 The Egyptian capital Cairo is reported quiet but tense after a crackdown on Islamists which left hundreds dead and drew international condemnation. At least 421 people died when security forces stormed two camps which supporters of ousted leader Mohammed Morsi set up in the city last month.A state of emergency was declared and curfews imposed in Egyptian cities.US Secretary of State John Kerry said the "deplorable" events were "a real blow to reconciliation efforts".EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also criticised the use of force.Egyptians are waking up to a frightening and uncertain future, the BBC's Bethany Bell reports from Cairo.Even after the curfew was lifted on Thursday morning, there was very little traffic out on the central streets and the bridges across the Nile, she says.
Cyber_Ghost Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Well, if you decide to barricade yourself and test the patience of a determined and armed opponent, you should not be surprised when you get your ass kicked.
