Corinthian
Overall they were what could definitely be called a procurement success. The new phased array Sea Giraffe radar set up on the ANZAC's are also going great by all accounts. The AWD's not so though. I was looking for the usual PAR panels on the superstructure, not noticing initially the new mast. Makes the ANZAC a much modern looking ship. AWD? Xavier
II think Sardaukar summed it up best: A frigate armed like a corvette (worse?) for the cost of a cruiser... I call it a frigate-sized luxury speedboat armed like a light corvette with the cost of a destroyer. (most important point being: it is a speedboat )

Corinthian
Re: AWD Hobart-class, pretty ship. Looked familiar until I read it was based on the Bazan class FFG (itself a pretty frigate). Hopefully it come out right in the end.
