Lost a game in SP because I reversed off a cliff into water

 

 

 

 

....

 

 

Looked at my stats from yesterday, in 22 battles I was doing average 2100 dmg/battle with 2100 avg eff and still only managed 50% w/r.

Had a game yesterday where a TOG II* fought its way down the edge of one side of the map, and then another, and then moved in to cap for the win. Now that's gotta be embarrassing to the other team.

 

There should almost be an achievement just for slow tanks that win a game via capping.

A basic reload timer in seconds is also something that should have been in the game from the start but isn't... WG is really not the brightest when it comes to UI.

You drive your tank with the map taking 3/4 of your screen? :P

I also run with a large mini-map but the "hold ctrl to see full screen map" is useful. This mod also shows the names of the tanks on the map and they might be unreadable on lower resolutions.

The feature where you get an enlarged minimap by holding CTRL is something WG needs to copy and implement. Great idea.

 

I just NumPad + the minimap several times and do that full time *shrugs*

I have it as large as the game allows me by default. Still fairly small.

I have one invader in my TOG, if nothing else the opposing team should take a 25% credit/XP penalty (awarded to the TOG) for allowing that.

Here are mine on the T34 today:

 

4 games

10,833 damage

10 kills

0 wins...

highest xp for my team in 2 games, second highest in one other

higher xp (minus the win bonus) than 13 of their team in 2 of the games

 

I was trying really hard today to come in with a positive attitude. These teams that I'm having to carry (and it's just not going to happen in a T34) aren't helping.

 

That third game should have been a win. It was a draw till 3 minutes left. I lead a charge up one flank and we end up killing their last tanks/tds. With 2:30 to go I'm killed and we have 2 tanks and 2 arty against their 2 arty. Should be in the bag, right?

 

Nope (you all know how these stories go by now). A mouthbreather by the handle nanotanker comes up to one of their arty in cover and turns and runs (he was at full health, btw). This is with 1 minute left on the clock. He fucking turns AND RUNS. He finally turns around with 15 seconds left. It's too late, then.

 

For folks who think you have no control over w/r (which is BS, btw... don't argue the point, you look like an idiot), what happened with this nanotanker is a prime example of how you do influence it. If I was in his shoes it'd be a win. Guaranteed. This guy is a mouthbreather. He had the opportunity and blew it.

 

Edit: Ran into another moron in the clan Enjoy [-.-]. I'm really starting to not like these guys. Moron hit me at full speed in his 59 while I'm trying to reverse around a corner to avoid fire. Take damage from him and because he blocked me I take damage from the M46 I'm trying to avoid. What's even scarier is the guy (Yalkara) has a 60% w/r. Proof positive that if you platoon enough even average players can get a really high w/r.

 

Edit 2: And because of the wonderul collision system in WoT I lost 2k credits because of that dipshit. Screw this. Off to do other stuff for a while.

With good reason. No armor plus lots of hps for the tier = great credit/xp earner when you hit it. I always go for them first when I see them because it's an easy knockout of an enemy gun.

 

The more I think about the German tree as a whole, the more I think they need to drop almost everything down one tier when they rebalance the trees. For the Tiger, the armor it has would be nothing special at tier 6.

I've decided the evening right after the new 3x turns over is also a bad time to play. The battles are ruled by high-rated clan platoons, and you have a 50/50 chance to be on the team with the good platoon. And it's usually a landslide for the team who gets them - that's no fun.

Yeah but the way I play most often I just want to get a quick battle or two inbetween other things so I just go solo and that doesn't work at these times.

What's amazing is some folks still wish the platoon limit was higher. Three players can already dominate a game. I'd hate to see five working together.
