Fritz Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 And get frustrated when you pen and pen and pen and pen and your target is still at half health.
Skywalkre Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 My w/r on the M5A1 went from 45% yesterday to... 48% today. Gotten a lot of high tier games. Just reinforces the idiocy that is this 'scout' concept. If I wanted to scout I'd choose to work up one of the dedicated lines. I don't want to. Mouthbreathers in pubs don't even know what the minimap is to begin with. WG should fire whoever insists on leaving this as a reality of working up a line...
jwduquette1 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 anyone know why the Chaffe & T-50-2 are so frickin expensive in terms of experiance required -- Other tanks and TDs in tier V have about 1/2 to 1/3 the experiance requirement.
Fritz Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Arty is still OP. I'm in my P II pushing the attack in a T10 battle, I'm doing great and all of a sudden get hit by 2 arty rounds while moving and just evaporate from full health. By then we were winning. Then we got rolled. Awesome.Look at end of battle report, top xp is 404, I got 380. And it looked like we had a decent team. I click Battle again. OH GREAT our top tank has THIRTY EIGHT PERCENT win ratio in ELEVEN THOUSAND BATTLES. BUT it's a T8 battle and they don't have any really good players. I lead the attack on my flank, do 2200dmg and we roll them. anyone know why the Chaffe & T-50-2 are so frickin expensive in terms of experiance required -- Other tanks and TDs in tier V have about 1/2 to 1/3 the experiance requirement. Top tier scouts are supposed to be very expensive to run. Edited January 18, 2013 by Fritz
Skywalkre Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 anyone know why the Chaffe & T-50-2 are so frickin expensive in terms of experiance required -- Other tanks and TDs in tier V have about 1/2 to 1/3 the experiance requirement. They're end of line 'scout' tanks. Their stats and capabilities are closer to tier 6 vehicles than tier 5 (yet they can still be top tier in a battle, apparently ). As such, they're more expensive to unlock and to run (losing money on them is apparently common).
Fritz Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Looks like M103 is my stat padding tank. Very hard to lose in it (you'd need your team to be significantly worse than the enemy).
Skywalkre Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 /sigh I should've stuck it out yesterday. I haven't had a single game yet where I'm top tier in the M5A1. Almost all of them early yesterday were.
Skywalkre Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Got the T-34. Spent what little free XP I had left to get it the top gun. Most of the games I saw today were tier 5 max or 1-2 tier 6. I'm hoping that's the same tomorrow. If so, the T-34 will dominate all those lower tier Chinese players. The regular round from the M5A1 has real issues with the T-34 (I pack gold, but most don't). As for the Stuart, had 2 1k xp games today and my ace mastery 1400 yesterday. I doubt that will hold up to stay in the top 100 so I'm going to keep playing it every day till the comptetition is over.
Harold Jones Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I ended my M5A1 Odyssey with a 54% win rate, once my crew hit 80 life became somewhat bearable. I also fired nothing but gold rounds for the last 25 or so games. I figured that since I was only getting 3 or so rounds off in my tier 8 matches I might as well have some chance of penning the sides of the stuff I was running in to, I managed to light a kv1s on fire and he burned out which was nice. One epic match I even managed 5 kills the map was Sigfried Line and I just sat in a bush on the 0 line and shot the light tanks and tier 3 TDs that came wandering down it.
sunday Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Ola was classier. However, I think I misunderstood a snippet: "...special guest Rainbow Dash" WHAT???
Marek Tucan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Special guest was on the top of the screen.
Fritz Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Pico!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wr1s0W1bPw Better than Ola IMO Ola was kinda generic, this one looks more interesting.
Fritz Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I don't like being on overwhelmingly better teams just as much as I hate being on the retard team. I like being on teams where we have a decent chance of winning but I can still make serious impact. My last two T34 battles, both T10, first one our top tanks are morons to average, whereas their IS-7 is a 60%-er. I am at the right place and shoot the right targets and end up with 2700dmg, fairly decent, but we lose. Get 1100xp out of that loss. Our E-100 for example does a whopping 900 dmg. Next game our team is way better but lemmings to one side - that's OK, I just have to hold the other side a bit so they can roll their side. Well turns out there are barely any enemies on my side so I only end up with 1100 dmg and a pretty pathetic 3x.
Marek Tucan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) My Black Prince suffers today. Battle after battle I deal a lot of damage, reap a lot of XP... but the team loses. EDIT: Ahh, finally, great battle... Black Prince works better when it is not a top dog. Edited January 19, 2013 by Tuccy
Harold Jones Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Putting a TOG on Dragon's Ridge is just cruel.
Fritz Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I bet you could drop it on a group of enemies with great effect.
Harold Jones Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 The damn thing should have enough reserve buoyancy to be used as an assault ferry.
Fritz Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Btw I bet I'm the only one where who keeps copies of older versions of WoT in order to be able to watch older replays...
Marek Tucan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 3 TOGs in a platoon are scary, though If they concentrate fire...
Skywalkre Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 This is why I hate being the 'scout' in pubs. DrawBattle: Himmelsdorf Saturday, January 19, 2013 12:27:02 PMVehicle: AMX 12tExperience received: 625Credits received: 16,350High tier game. I go hill along with the other scout on our team. One lone heavy follows (which was stupid). We spot 5 enemy heavies cresting hill. We run. Friendly heavy dies (what did he think would happen?!). Myself and the other scout are clicking and typing like crazy. 'Hey team! Wake up! Enemy swarming off hill' etc. What happens? Nothing. Enemy rushes cap. Our team, which had numbers at this point, rushes enemy cap. That whole fucking-retarded-mouthbreating-dumbass-cap-faster mentality rearing its ugly head once again. What should have been an easy win turned into 6 wasted minutes of my life.
Skywalkre Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 3 TOGs in a platoon are scary, though If they concentrate fire...Three of anything in a platoon are scary if they follow these basic rules:1) Use similar if not identical vehicles in same tier2) Use comms3) Move together and focus fire Guaranteed to add 10% or more to your w/r. What's amazing is how many platoons I see where folks are in vastly different tiers and types and don't work together when the game starts.
Harold Jones Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Can't count the number of times I've been called coward because after lighting a bunch of enemy tanks I turn tail and run. I figure my job as a light tank is to light them up, delay them if it makes sense but otherwise get the fuck out of Dodge so I can live to keep them lit or find other ways to be useful.
