Now there's a new issue, that will probably catch the world media's attention:

It seems that Gaza's power station has run out of diesel fuel. The immediate target will be Israel, of course, because it is the source of fuel for the GS. Hamas is attempting to put the squeeze both on Israel and Egypt, playing the poor starving side, to supply fuel no questions asked.

Only the real story, as usual, is different.

Hamas has declared no connection to Israel (and accepts fuel, water, electricity, medicine, food.... without signing the bills), and makes either the UN, or any other organization, pay. The power plant's fuel is ordered by the PA authority, ie Fatah. But Hamas does not pass payments to the PA, because it expects everyone to pay for its regime, while Hamas itself focuses on weapons and other means of war. Now the PA decided not to pay Israel for the fuel. A financial dispute between Hamas and the PA will soon become another propaganda tool against Israel.

Meanwhile, in the funnyland of Norway, a bunch of leftist loonies are planning to send a siege busting ship to Hamastan in January 2011. The Vice President of the Norwegian Parliament, Akhtar Chaudhry, wants to be on the ship. He is being critized by MPs from other parties, who states that as a member of the presidency of the Parliament, he should act as a good example. Mr Chaudhry says that as a member of the SV (Socialist Left Party) he has stood up for the Palestinians for many years, and therefore should be able to use his current position for this cause...

Is Turkey using chemical weapons against Kurdish rebels? German weekly Der Spiegel reported on its website Thursday that it had obtained photographs showing the bodies of fighters from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) that had been killed by chemical weapons. The report, which is based on a report published over the weekend, claims German experts have examined and confirmed the photographs' authenticity.

 

According to the report, the horrifying images show burned, maimed and scorched body parts. Kurdish human rights activists believe the people in the photos are eight members of the PKK underground, who were killed in clashes with the Turkish military in September 2009.

 

The photographs were transferred to a human rights delegation including German activists, journalists, and far-Left Turkish politicians.

 

The report said the photographs were transferred to a forensics lab and were examined by experts from Hamburg University Hospital. Expert Hans Baumann confirmed the initial suspicion that it is highly probable the eight Kurds died "due to the use of chemical substances."

 

This is not the first time Turkey is suspected of using chemical weapons, in violation of the international treaty to which it is a signatory. Such suspicions have led German politicians to call for an independent international probe into the matter.

 

Gisela Penteker, a Turkey expert with the international medical organization International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, noted that Turkey has been suspected of using chemical weapons for years. "Local people have said that again and again," she explained. Finding proof is difficult, however, she said, because bodies were often released so late that it was hardly possible to carry out a thorough autopsy.

 

Meanwhile, Berlin daily newspaper Die Tageszeitung, also reported that it has obtained additional, shocking pictures, supposedly autopsy photographs of six other killed Kurds.

 

The paper also reported that the Turkish Foreign Ministry rejected the claims, saying, "Turkey is a signatory to the Chemical Weapons Convention, and its armed forces do not possess any biological or chemical weapons."

Initial report: At least one person sustained gunshot wounds at the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv Tuesday evening.

 

 

 

According to initial reports from the shooting scene, a naked man arrived at the embassy and was shot.

 

 

Meanwhile, another incident is reportedly taking place within the embassy walls. Witnesses at the site said several shots were fired, but no further information had been provided. Other witnesses reported seeing a bullet hole in one of the embassy's windows.

 

Large police forces were deployed at the scene and are waiting outside the building; diplomatic protocol prevents them from going in as the embassy is outside the Israel Police's jurisdiction. SWAT teams and police negotiators have also been rushed to the scene in the event that hostages are being held inside the embassy.

 

Magen David Adom ambulance service's Director Eli Bin arrived at the site of the incident because of its gravity.

 

"We were called to scene after being informed that someone was barricading himself at the embassy," he said. "When we arrived, a Turkish representative said there is no need for us to come in and did not allow us to enter. We know with certainty that there is one gunshot victim but we don't know his condition."

 

 

 

"While we were at the site, more shots were fired, but at this time we don’t quite know what's going on inside the embassy and are waiting outside, along with other security forces, until we get our orders," he said.

 

 

 

Israeli paramedics were eventually allowed into the embassy, about an hour after the incident was reported

 

 

 

 

The Foreign Ministry is coordinating the handling of the affair in light of its diplomatic sensitivities.

 

 

Riot police forces were also dispatched to the area for fear that the situation may get out of hand as more people arrive at the scene.

 

 

Accroding to earlier reports, police forces sealed off the area and were holding up traffic on HaYarkon Street, where the embassy is located.

 

 

The Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv gained prominence in recent months after several anti-Turkish rallies were held in the area. The demonstrations were held to protest Turkey's attitude to Israel and developments surrounding the lethal IDF raid on a Turkish Gaza-bound vessel.

"Peace activists" unmasked by an international media source, and genuine surprise by some of the Turks on board from the actions of the IHH.
