Heirophant
Anybody know where I can get the latest SPOBEDIT and MOBHACK programs? I've seriously looked everywhere, and clicked every link. I can't find them anywhere. I found mostly dead links and sites. I'm willing to pay, if necessary. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance [Edited by Heirophant (07 Oct 2002).]

Heirophant
Well, actually I wanted them for general use. For example, I think SP:World at War has a version of MOBHACK, but definitely no SPOBEDIT. If SP:MBT has SPOBEDIT, does that mean I can use it for SP:WaW and SP:WW2 also?

SP:MBT uses a version of MOBHACK particular to that game. SP:WW2 comes with version specific for that game. Both are included with the games. SPOBEDIT is long dead. Sam
What would be a good armor value to use for an AFV which is proof vs 20mm @ 200 meters. I believe the 20mm APFSDS does 11 or 15 depending on the country. Should the armor value be 10 or 14 depending on which 20mm value you use? In other words just drop a point or 2 from the penetration values, so it can be Ko'd at close range?

German gun uses APDS which can do maybe 50mm @ muzzle. If you were to add ± 20% that should be 6 maximum penetration so 7 would be proof against 20mm APDS @ muzzle. 25mm APFSDS can do 100mm @ muzzle and standard deviation should be ~ ± 15% or 115mm maximum penetration, so proof against 25mm APFSDS @ muzzle should be ~ 12. But SPMBT penetration forumla is screwy any way ....in order to get proper penetration @ range all maximum ranges should be doubled.

The point is that SPOBEDIT has not bee available for a long time and it does not support any of the recent SP variants. But of course you can still edit the OOBs of SP1 and SP2 - just as "Gorilla" still works fine on DOS 5.0 machines

Thanks Paul, The problem is In SP:MBT the Rh202 does 9 (AP?) and 11 (apds?) while the French 20mm does 15. until I change the AP values, I will have to base the "proof vs" protection level to match what SP:MBT uses. I have made quite a few changes to the Italian OOB, including alot of modified icons. This question was prompted by the VCC-1 with addon armor, which is supposed to proof it vs 20mm @ 200 meters. I created a very cool icon based on the Israeli classical addon armor icon. I also redid the Ariete, the turret just bugged me. I will release it when it is completed. Guest Hans Engström
Sam, incidentally there's a lot of very cool stuff in the late Italian OOB, so I look forward to getting a good look at what it should be like. The Centauro derivatives are excellent vehicles in game terms. Hans

Al
AFAIK, the SPCammo site was only available through the wargamer site (www.wargamer.com) which was hacked by some low-life scum last week. They were going to try & have things up and running again this weekend, but haven't checked to see if this is so.
