Ivanhoe Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I finally got around to seeing Tron the other night. Not bad, same routine as the original. The RL part at the beginning was more enjoyable than the grid stuff. Olivia Wilde is seriously hot.
Corinthian Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I MISSED TRON BECAUSE OF THAT STUPID LOCAL FILMFEST!!!!!
Ssnake Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Watched Machete yesterday. I can honestly say it was the worst movie I've ever seen.Well, it certainly lived up to the trailer. It delivered exactly what I expected to see. What were you expecting?
Archie Pellagio Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Just saw Kings Speech, not really sure why everybody seems to be raving about it so much, while not a bad movie, wasn't mind blowing stuff. Saw Morning Glory for my romantic comedy/chick flick fix the other day, kind of amusing time waster.
Corinthian Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Saw Morning Glory for my romantic comedy/chick flick fix the other day, kind of amusing time waster. That's it Luke. Hand over your ManCard.
Sardaukar Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 That's it Luke. Hand over your ManCard.™ Next he will tell he is fan of Twilight movies...
Corinthian Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Next he will tell he is fan of Twilight movies... Then Maxx enters the monastery. Then Ogabe decides to become Republican. And Palin will pose for Sports Illustrated. Palestinians and Israelis will sign a Mutual Defense Pact against Malawi, and the Putin will remain Putin. Truly, the End of the World is nigh! NIGH! NIGH! NIGH! NIGH!
Archie Pellagio Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Next he will tell he is fan of Twilight movies... Well I only saw the first one, but didn't mind it as far as creepy sparkly pedo high-school-girl stalking vampire movies go... Whats it to ya?

Stargrunt6 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Just finished watching my first Bollywood flick called "3 Idiots." You have to watch this. It's about three friends looking for their old classmate from their time in engineering school. Anybody who's been in high pressure academic situations can totally relate to what these characters go through. On top of the drama, it's really funny and clever, and even the musical numbers mesh well. It's almost like you'd expect them.
Doug Kibbey Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Saw Morning Glory for my romantic comedy/chick flick fix the other day, kind of amusing time waster. I hope your viewing came with "benefits".
TonyE Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Saw Morning Glory for my romantic comedy/chick flick fix the other day, kind of amusing time waster. Tony....does not like this....
Rubberanvil Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Imho The Twilight films as bad they are, were at least watchable compare to the Blade trilogy. Samuel L. Jackson, poser Wesley Snipes is not.

Wesley Snipes was kicking celluloid ass long before anyone had ever heard of Samuel L Jackson.Until Pulp Fiction he had only ever played minor roles, the biggest movie role he had was Ray Arnold in Jurassic Park, who's character was pretty minor in the film version.

His beer is really good, too.

The Blade Trilogy was horrible in that the vampires were utterly harmless to Blade and company and to humans (zero body count until the blood bank scene in Trinity) and the excessive posing by Snipes.

Ref the red bold bit, word.... That bit annoyed me in all his movies. It's as if he's thinking "Must have cool shot right now." or "Must have hero shot here." I watch it mostly for the latent comedic value in it....
Doug Kibbey Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I watch it mostly for the latent comedic value in it.... OK, so I'm the only one who watched them for Leonor Varela, Jessica Biel and Parker Posey?
Vijay Reddy Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Just finished watching my first Bollywood flick called "3 Idiots." You have to watch this. It's about three friends looking for their old classmate from their time in engineering school. Anybody who's been in high pressure academic situations can totally relate to what these characters go through. On top of the drama, it's really funny and clever, and even the musical numbers mesh well. It's almost like you'd expect them. Awesome. It's based on this book written by a guy who went to the same alma mater as me. The title "Five Point Someone" refers to the ubiquitous GPA. The IITs use a scale where 10.00 is the top score and a GPAs in the 5s means you probably won't graduate. Interestingly, the time frame of that book is right around when I attended school. Some of events in the book and the movie appear to be adapted from real events, E.g. the guy who hooks up with a head professor's daughter, the student who commits suicide because of a hardass prof. Even after so many years, I sometimes wake up in a cold sweat after dreaming that I was late for a test or worse.
