Tommy Bennett
Add him onto the "Ghost Hunters" team. Since Hollywood is so hung up on remakes, how about a new The Night Stalker series?
Phalanx
For the Bruce Campbell fans out there, he's currently co-starring in Burn Notice (just started it's 4th season). He plays Sam Axe (yes, really), a former SEAL. For those unfamiliar with the show... it's a action-spy-comedy-mystery type deal. Think James Bond meets MacGyver meets Magnum PI. Kind of a fun throwback to the 80s with modern production values.

Mike also recommended it earlier, so I think I'll track it down. I've been working PMs into the wee hours for like 3 years, so I lose track of even worthy TV. Bruce is at home in his character, that smart-ass give-a-damn type that we all love. In contrast to movies, there's a lot of good tv out there. Yeah, it sucks that there's tripe such as Pookie and those shallow house yentes, but there's a ton of good stuff out there. Anybody watching the new season of the Boondocks?!?! It's off the chain. For all you who can't stand Obama out there, watch the first episode. Other good shows are Archer and the new season of Penn & Teller's Bullshit. They, like Boondocks, are getting better with every season.
Doug Kibbey
Twilight is just another name for estrogen poisoning. And I resent that they used that title which was previously employed for a much more deserving film with Paul Newman and James Garner a few years back. I have to keep checking the synopsis on cable to make sure I'm not missing that one. Stockard Channing was actually pretty hot in that, too. (and you get to see Reese Witherspoon's funbags). I probably need to wiki the Boondocks show to see who is in charge of the script and directing for it.

He's still showing his lefty side in the show, esp with his author avatar of the main character. However, he sees the writing on the wall and he's never heavy-handed nor one-sided with his messages (looking at you, Family Guy).
Corinthian
His last flick edge of darkness was quite good I thought, very different sort of movie, small budget etc. Just saw 'Grown Ups' tonight, f*ck me, I haven't seen a turd that big since I went on safari...avoid at all costs, even if it means sitting through something with sparkly, homo-erotic vampires... I was looking for Old Norse online translations, and found this: http://www.chud.com/articles/articles/22176/1/MOVE-OVER-THOR-MEL-GIBSON-IS-GOING-OLD-NORSE/Page1.html At today's press conference for his new film Edge of Darkness, Mel Gibson let slip some info that isn't that much of a surprise but interesting nonetheless: The Leonardo DiCaprio Viking movie he's directing will be in Old Norse. Yup, Mel hasn't met a dead language he hasn't tried to get on film. Hmmm... interesting.... DiCaprio spoils it though.

Tommy Bennett
Sounds like it might be an interesting movie, unfortunately after his latest stupidity I don't think Mel will be able to get a job directing a high school recital of Hamlet. I always enjoyed Gibson's stuff - putting aside the anti-Anglo rage phase, but when all is said and done, he's just another walking blob of ego. If he wasn't Mel Gibson the famous movie actor, does the dumb f*cker actually think he'd have someone that beautiful and young in his bed? She played a shrewd hand and will live comfortably ever after. Edited for stoopid mobile word filler inner thingie. Through the Boondocks show does look like he's spread gunning everything with in range and be entertaining while doing it.

Stargrunt6
Det Perfekte Kup, The Perfect Heist. An utterly brilliant Danish heist flick. Speaking of bank robbery movies, the Mexican film "Sultanes Del Sur" was great as well. Interesting plot twists and great style without being overedited. Tommy Bennett
Watched Green Zone and Shutter Island this weekend. Although GZ had some interesting parts, the ending was like a liberal's wet dream. Shutter Island absolutely rocked. +1 on both. I rented The Lightning Thief & The Crazies yesterday, and while TLT was good morality play for yutes, I would say it was trying to be too many things at once. Let's ditch Medusae and minotaurs for a bit, shall we Hollywood? The Crazies was good Tanknet zombie fare, tho some of the army scenes made me cringe. Try and see it! Stargrunt6
Although GZ had some interesting parts, the ending was like a liberal's wet dream. Not surprised one bit. The poster for the movie was enough for me to keep away from it, going for the whole "no, really, Matt Damon is a badass!" approach.

Archie Pellagio
Rented the hurt locker on DVD and was overall impressed, especially after the negative comments from a lot of EOD guys I know. But there were some bits which were completely unnecessary, poorly done, nonsensical and just plain made me want to put my foot through the TV, like the sniper scene with the PMC's (WTF?) and the scene where the EOD's just decide to go off and have three of them clear a whole city block, you know, just because there are bad guys somewhere in there... On the whole though thought it was excellent. The cereal aisle is probably one of my all time film greats moments.

The sniper scene was a conundrum until I realized it wasn't just gratuitous violence, but just deserts for evil murderous mercenaries because Hollywood needed to educate us on right thinking. The block clearing was also non-sequitor like some of the scenes with soldiers in The Crazies, except as an obvious plot device. There needs to be a cleansing.... It was hard for me to enjoy the sniper scene, because it's hard for me to believe that they were sniper trained AND that the rifle wasn't zeroed for them. Unless in reality EOD guys are more trained than I thought.
