I have lost track of all the times I listened to this on the way to ski areas in Colorado and Utah. Driving on a sunny day up snowy passes are indescribable with this in the background.

The studio version is the definitive one, but that was for technical reasons that are partially explained.

The entirety of Relient K's 2004 album Mmhmm. The ladyfriend and I are going through a tough time (Read: both of us didn't realize how fast things progressed, and she blinked first. Now we're "Friends" that talk to each other on the phone two times a week and I'll probably be going see her in a month or so. *ahem*), and the last time I was in a real spot of bother was back in 2004, and the album helped to get me through it. Now? The songs are taking a whole new meaning. My favourite?

Completely forgotten today, there was a period in the late '60's when you couldn't turn on a radio and not find these guys on at least one station. Their string of hits was without precedent.

One hit wonder, and Bobby Fuller died in tragic and mysterious circumstances. Man, I love this in high school.

The Clash totally f***ed this up.

The Bobby Fuller Four. That was/is one great song.

Apparently Mr. Fuller got on the bad side of The Mob. Rumor has it that he was forced to drink Drano, but it's only a rumor.

I only recently started hitting YouTube music links, and it may be the death of my pocketbook. Today it is a decent cover of "Itchycoo Park" by some band called "M People", and "Destination Unknown" by "Missing Persons" (following links from Frank Zappa-related info). I've noticed many people stop acquiring "new" (different, contemporary) music in their late '30s/early '40s; YouTube might change that.

Practicing my left hook (it needs work) to NIN's "Closer" at 2:00am.

I don't even drink coffee anymore.

Good workout music.

Care for Robin Trower?

"Bridge of Sighs"

I had an album by Robin Trower that I bought in Germany. It was a smokin' live album, recorded in Sweden. I have not been able to find it anywhere, and I thought that it was his best album ( other than some of the Procul Harum albums, that is ).

Do any of you Euro types know if Trower's live album is available anywhere on CD over there?

I have to agree with P.J.O'Rourke: Nine Inch Nails music sounds like someone threw a washtub full of cats down a flight of stairs.

My dad didn't like Hendrix, so maybe it's an age thing. Of course, he hated every rock act he ever heard, from Bill Haley on.

I tried to play some Chambers Brothers for mine, he listened politely and I think contained his distaste so as not to get that whole "rebellion" thing working. Clearly he was not impressed.

Thankfully, I was also a Gordon Lightfoot fan and that passed muster with both parents.

The Holmes Brothers- Opportunity to Cry.

Kudos to Willie Nelson for writing one of the best verses in any song

"I'd like to see you,

but I'm afraid that I don't know wrong from right.

Would I kiss you,

Or want to kill you on sight....."
