Doug Kibbey Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) I love it when Jackson Browne plays with David Lindley, have seen them live together several times. David can play anything with strings on it, and as Browne said, "David is in the moment all the time." "Barricades of Heaven" "....better bring your own redemption when you come..... Corinthian Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Am now a glorified security guard (read: on schtooopeed night duty at the office again). To calm me down, now listening to my MP3 playlist. Now playing: Beethoven's 6th. Soylent Green was up a few nights ago. Beautiful.
Archie Pellagio Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Just raided bee mp3 for some new songs:JJohnny Rivers, Secret Agent Man, Hawaii Five O (actually got some cool rock version first go) mele kalikimaka (Bing Crosby) and just got Bombora, trying to get the pulp fiction song now...
Corinthian Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 The past 30 minutes, I've been listening to the Our Father in Gregorian chant. Trying to memorize it *just in case* Der Fuhrer asks me to lead the morning prayers during "Flag Ceremony: The Musicale!"* * - because lately, Der Fuhrer has taken a liking that morning prayers be sung, i.e. she has song-versions of prayers played. Which is almost all fine, really. But the song versions of these prayers are pop versions (and when I mean pop, I do mean pop). *Ugh* And I find pop versions of prayers sacrilege. So, just in case she asks me to lead the prayers for a change, I will "counter" her pop with Gregorian (even if I end up massacring it because I don't know how to sing )
ShotMagnet Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 The voices in my head-wait that isn't music... Shot

Doug Kibbey Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 "Red" by King Crimson Wow, you're old! I first heard predecessor "In the Court of the Crimson King" when in a shake and bake course at the NCO academy at Ft. Knox. Radio was "different" in those days. I recall hearing John Tavenor's "The Whale" on the same station there. Good times.
