I'm looking for a song title; a techno dance tune from either the 80s or early 90s. It starts with a kind of keyboard tone:

Dun da da....then a male voice goes 'ow' then more tones dun dun dun dun da da da dun du dun,  then 'ow' then a woman starts to sing something about 'dance with me'. It USED to be everywhere back them, but I simply can't remember the title.

THAT'S IT!! THE REBELS ARE THERE!

And it wasn't even a man.

I watched the video and the woman dancing is lip synching! Kind of like 'Everybody Dance Now!': the singer was not very photogenic so they stuck a more 'fashion model' looking woman into the video.

Nice pick up . . .

What's crazy about the 80's and some of the 90's is that they had dance jams that made you think. For example:

Yep, one of several scandals in the R&B/soul genre.

The gal who lip-synchs in the music video is tres hot, she was a model before becoming the facade of Black Box. The gal who actually sang the studio recording was ... plump*, but had a killer voice.

* Calm down Marcus Aurelius.

Since y'all fired up the WABAC machine;

How time flies. When this came out, I thought the main singer was kinda obese. These days, she'd be considered thin.

En Vogue's "Free Your Mind" couldn't be made today. Heck, their whole catalog couldn't be made today; soul/rock fusion with clean and comprehensible lyrics, with singers that don't twerk in lingerie.

And I was surprised to find out she did the vocals for 'Everybody Dance Now!' as well and got replaced in THAT video too.

Yep.  Por ejemplo, same song, the video and live

Soul 2 Soul? Ah another man of culture.  I can play this song on repeat. The drums and horn sample are addictive.

As parodied in the classic mockumentary "Fear of a Black Hat."

Another light Rock classic. Live at the Albert Hall. Great back up by a symphony and choir. And such a happy up beat song! 😀

Song is named "Nuclear Winter" and goes great with a Stalker 2

My friend said this band was making him sick. He said it gave him "yellow fever". He didn't look ill, he actually looked quite happy.  As far as I know he never had malaria?

Mention cowbell and the first thing I think of is Grand Funk Railroad and "we're an American Band"

A classic!

The further back gou go in The Chipmunks' catalog, the less stablr Dave is.

In this one, he's having a full blown conniption fit.
