EW Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Currently working on three kits, since The Nationals is only 8 weeks away. The jinxed (sp?) Bf 109 project is almost finished, but I'm still trying to get hold of that lost part somehow. I have to "bash" Hasegawa, while talking about customer support, for not having a valid e-mail address at their homepage. That is really amateurish, to say the least. I`m really p*ssed about this. Am I supposed to call Japan in order to get it? Haseqawa's representatives in "Yurrup" won't help and there's no one in Scandi anymore. Just great.... Can you imagine a Bf 109 without a gunsight with canopy open? The judges would have a field day deducting points just over that. The A-4 is finished (sorry no pic yet) but what the other two projects are, well... I'll prefer to keep those under my hat, since I don't want any more trolls putting any bad spells on these as well, as the Bf 109 Sorry for the rant. EW
Michael Eastes Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 Originally posted by Jacques:Micheal, the current plan sounds pretty awesom. Have fun with the MI-1...We will definately need to see pics of this when done. It's going to be a while. Moscow has not yet sent the power plant or electronics. I'm going to try to cobble together some authentic-looking Sov style radars, etc. My old Polmar book on the Sov navy has a lot of detailed diagrams. I was going to put on a catapult and float plane, but I think a helo deck and a crane for hoisting floatplanes aboard for repairs, etc. will be easier and look better.
Garth Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Gennady, I took some pics of the ASAT at NASM Dulles today. Just want to confirm that the email address below (the one on your profile) is the correct one to use and that it has the space available to absorb about a meg or so of pictures. emailmenow@edsamail.com.ph --Garth Originally posted by Gennady I. Beregovoy:I'll do your suggestion - top mounted ASAT. That means I'll be riggin up something to mount the ASAT. Again, thanks very much for the info and the offer of the pix!
Gennady I. Beregovoy Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Garth: Thanks! Yes, the email address is correct, but I have to empty it first before you send it. Can you wait for my post here when I have emptied it? I can only accomodate up to 2MB worth of data.
Gennady I. Beregovoy Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Garth: My email is ready. Thanks.
Garth Posted February 17, 2004 Author Posted February 17, 2004 Ok. I'll send them over tonight (after 7/8pm EST). --Garth Originally posted by Gennady I. Beregovoy:Garth: My email is ready. Thanks.
Gennady I. Beregovoy Posted February 28, 2004 Posted February 28, 2004 Garth: Just checked the status of my email and it says your pic has just arrived. THANKS! Unfortunately, the PC which has my email program is going haywire again, so I'll be able to download it probably tomorrow. Thanks again!
ShotMagnet Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 Referencing the RCS thrusters on the NF-104, there was a conversion in the March 04 FSM. The conversion included drilling holes in the nose and the wings also, I think. Shot
Michael Eastes Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 I just finished an Italieri M113 medic track, desert scheme, and a Tamiya T62 in parade markings; both in 1/35 scale. Starting on an SPW251/D modified to carry the T-34 Calliope rocket launcher. My dad's unit in WW2 actually built and used 3 of them. This will include three kits; the SPW, a PAK40-7.5cm.,(both Tamiya) and the calliope system from an Italieri kit. Should be fairly cool when done. edit for dqsse [Edited by Michael Eastes (20 Apr 2004).]

Mike, One of the other Tank-Netters has posted this link to upload photos: http://www.imageshack.us/ Just click on the "Browse" button, locate the file, and click "Upload." It'll then give you three addresses. Copy the top one, complete with the bracketed IMGs and paste it into the message. It only works on images smaller than 600kb. If you only have hard copies, this won't do you a dang bit of good... I just tried it out on the Camera thread in the FFZ and it seems to work pretty good. Douglas

One must first own an operational camera, however, which I do not.

Kenneth P. Katz Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 High pitch angle. High flightpath angle. Not a high AoA. Ken "ex-flight test engineers are good for something" Originally posted by Garth:The F-15/ASAT mission profile had the launch taking place from an extreme AoA ... but still low enough where the Eagle's control surfaces would function.
