Michael Eastes Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 I'm doing a 1/35 scale medic track, M113. I can find no red cross decals anywhere in the proper scale. Anyone have any ideas, spares from old kits, etc?
Brad Sallows Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Red crosses, given the shapes, might be easy to do using masks or stencils.
Jacques Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Tamiya had a decal set out a few years ago that had red crosses. Also, the Academy M998 Medical Hummer has them. and masking them should be ok...I have used tamiya's low tack masking tape to EXCELLENT effect lately...masking off cockpits for Heli's and such...works like a charm. Michael Eastes Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 Found some at Squadron, whose search engine is a bit picky. Thanks anyway; I had tried masking but am too clumsy to get it right lately. Anyway, they're enroute.
DougRichards Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 If you get hold of the Tamiya long wheelbase Landrover ambulance - may still be available, and the Landrover can still be used for other purposes. The decals are about the right size for an M113. I used mine to make an ambulance version of the M577.
Colin Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Could you not do it on the computer and shink it to size and apply with a thin layer of rubber cement, excuse my ignorance but it's been a long time since i built a model.
