ShotMagnet Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 I recently bought the Dragon Shilka kit, now I'm looking for a nice paint job to emulate. Anyone have pictures of Shilkas in Indian, Syrian, or Iraqi service? Did the Chinese use Shilkas, and if so does anyone have any pictures of them in Chinese camouflage? Thanks in advance. Shot
Jacques Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 well, first and best bet for cammo schemes is to run a search on google or to buy Concord's book on the ZSU-23-4 series. Syria and Iraq primarily have a plain sand color, with lots of weathering. Iraq also has this new "burnt to a crisp" cammo look. India, I am unsure what they have sitting here at the computer. China has no ZSU-23-4 vehicles that I know of.
TonyE Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Some indian Shilkas can be found here: http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/LAND-FORCES/...y/ZSU-23-4.html
ShotMagnet Posted March 12, 2004 Author Posted March 12, 2004 Couldn't find anything on Google, which is why I turned my attentions here. Thanks for the Indian Shilka link. Shot
Jacques Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 Hello, I'm back at a computer I can make responses to this DG now... Here are two links: http://www.jedsite.info/artillery/sierra/s...lka-series.html General ZSU-23-4 link http://www.jedsite.info/artillery/sierra/s...ndia-intro.html Indian Cammo link.
ShotMagnet Posted March 16, 2004 Author Posted March 16, 2004 Good stuff. Thanks for the links. Looks like Indian cammo will be the way to go. Shot
