Look at the bottom of your DSL modem, it probably says the same thing. It may also refer to the firmware or driver for your DSL modem.

Ok ... looking at the underside of the modem (that Telus set me up with) it says:

SIEMENS

Gigaset ® SE567

Wireless ASDL Gateway

then a part number

When I look at properties for the network speedstream thing now in

the network info it lists an url ... http://192.168.1.254/index.htm

PS: clicking on that url link takes me to Telus pages so it belongs to telus :D

... also listed in the properties for the speedstream is the term "router"

I suspect it's just the latest driver for your DSL Modem/Router. I doubt there is anything to worry about.

I think it's probably okay too since they link to Telus website. Funny thing though, today I checked in

the networks area to see again whats newly installed in there and that speedstream thing no longer shows up!!! Go figure. But the "sharing folder" that showed up alongside with the speedstream stuff did, is still there!

Oh the joys! :D
