Gennady I. Beregovoy Posted February 16, 2002 Posted February 16, 2002 Anyone uses it? How is it? Pound-per-pound, how good is it against Badger and other brands?
Jacques Posted February 17, 2002 Posted February 17, 2002 I have a double action Testors (same as the Aztec). I like it a LOT over the Badger's and Paasche's. WHy? It is easy to clean, it is easier to use, and it costs a LOT less. I was never one to pull my airbrush apart to clean, too lazy, soit prevented me from airbrushing at all. With the aztec, I just paint, run thinner through, and it is clean. The fine lines only go to about 1/8-1/16 inch, so it is not as fine as the really good airbrushes. But it works just fine for me.
PCallahan Posted February 18, 2002 Posted February 18, 2002 I have one also (once again, the Testor's model) and I have been quite happy. It is not at all maintenance intensive, and is more accurate than my skill demands. Pat Callahan
Justinian II Posted February 18, 2002 Posted February 18, 2002 One word........AMAZING!!!! I have the A470 and it is an outstanding airbrush and would not trade it for anything else out there....you won't be disappointed... Justinian II
Gennady I. Beregovoy Posted February 21, 2002 Author Posted February 21, 2002 Thanks all! Guess it's time to cancel that order from Badger Really, my Badger airbrush's needle bent/broke and it is to my misfortune that I could not find a replacement needle here. I placed an order for replacement needle as well as some tips and other accessories via my officemate who'll be dropping by the US. The last time I checked, the total amount of accessories for my airbrush would cost me about, oh, a third of the price of an Aztec. From the replies here, I guess an Aztec will be in my early-Christmas wish list.
Manic Moran Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 I'm another Aztek user. I used to have a Badger double-action, and ended up buying a new brush when I couldn't easily get replacement parts for the Badger in Ireland. I've never looked back. Right now my only problem is in trying to fit my Paasche water trap to me Paasche compressor. The damned thing won't fit right. NTM
