(KKTV/Gray News) - The U.S. Attorney’s office said two Mexican nationals are facing charges after thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in their vehicle. Fremont County deputies said they stopped a vehicle in Canon City on March 26. Officials said deputies searched the vehicle and ended up finding around 150 boxes of .308 ammunition and another 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition. Fremont County authorities said each box was labeled as containing 1,000 rounds of ammo. The men arrested were identified as 41-year-old Caesar Ramon Martinez Solis and 24-year-old Humberto Ivan Amador Gavira of Mexico. Both have been charged with unlawful possession of ammunition by an alien admitted under a nonimmigrant visa, officials said. Dang, I'm tempted to begin pulling over illegals!
Ivanhoe Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 https://legalinsurrection.com/2025/04/argentinas-scientists-create-gene-edited-polo-super-ponies/ Quote Now scientists are using the technology to improve traits in domestic animals. Argentina’s scientists have recently achieved a groundbreaking milestone in genetic engineering by creating genetically altered “super horses.” These horses are designed to enhance traits such as speed, strength, and agility, potentially revolutionizing equestrian sports like horse racing and polo. Scientists started by using the genes from one of the nation’s famous polo horses. Oh, great. When the genie escapes the BSL-3 bottle, Argentina will have raging carnivorous polo ponies decimating the pampa and driving beef prices through the roof.
Ssnake Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Look at the upside. Carnivorous super horses have the potential to turn Rodeos into an interesting blood sport.

Ssnake Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Sounds like a good start. I really hate seeing animals killed or hurt for human entertainment.
Ivanhoe Posted April 27 Author Posted April 27 https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/26/style/dutch-town-hall-andy-warhol-intl-scli/index.html Quote The 1980s print depicting the Netherlands’ then-Queen Beatrix in Warhol’s famous pop art style disappeared when the art collection was being reorganized, according to a statement issued by Maashorst municipality on Thursday after it commissioned an independent agency to investigate. The local authority said it doesn’t expect to find the artworks. As well as the Warhol print, 45 other works were lost in the same way, CNN affiliate NOS reported. Oeps!

Ivanhoe Posted May 15 Author Posted May 15 https://myfox8.com/news/north-carolina/3rd-snake-induced-power-outage-hits-north-carolina/ Quote GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — More than 10 percent of Duke Energy customers in Wayne County were without power on Sunday night after a snake got into equipment and triggered the outage, officials said. The large outage was first reported just after 9:35 p.m. and grew from about 5,300 customers without power to more than 5,500 in Wayne County, according to Duke Energy. Snake causes power outage for nearly 10,000 people in North Carolina: Duke Energy Just before 11 p.m., the outage was down to about 2,800 customers, and by 11:10 p.m. all power was restored. “The outage was caused by a small animal, such as a squirrel, damaging our equipment,” Duke Energy’s website said. CBS 17 later contacted the company who confirmed the animal was a snake. Tastes like chicken. Quote Recently in central North Carolina, snakes have crawled into electrical areas and shorted out equipment, causing two major power outages. Quote “Snakes seek out eggs in birds’ nests that are often found in substations. They also seek warmth after sundown,” Transgard said on its website.

Ivanhoe Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 Weird story, kind of obviously fictional. The first red flag that I noticed that her hair doesn't look like she was in a survival situation. Yeah, probably a wig, but a gal who purportedly survived a bad situation probably wouldn't be so "put together."
