X-Files Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Have you met the Bunnyman? Do you know the Halloween urban legend of Virginia’s Bunny Man? - WTOP News
Ivanhoe Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 My GF in the late 00s did her PsyD internship at a "state hospital" which in VA means state mental hospital. It sounded somewhat like the institution in 12 Monkeys except a lot more violence at the real thing.

Ivanhoe Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 https://www.kwtx.com/2024/10/29/numbers-never-change-china-spring-man-overcomes-devastating-injury-emerges-with-superhuman-gift-numbers/ Quote WACO, Texas (KWTX) - 98 billion 546 million 123 thousand 589 point 8 divided by five. How long do you think it would take you to figure out that question in your head? No calculator. No scratch paper. No phone. Blake Hyland is a young man who can make that calculation almost instantly, and his amazing math skills are not really the most impressive thing about him. Complex calculations that would leave the average person scratching their head are no problem for the 25 year old. He can also tell you how many minutes and seconds have passed, for any time of the day, since midnight as he demonstrated from his home in China Spring that he shares with his parents Pat and Cindy Hyland. . Quote An emergency craniotomy, a Life-flight trip to Cooks Children Hospital in Fort Worth, and a seven week coma: no joke, indeed. Blake’s mother Cindy said things did not look good. “They said he will probably be in a nursing home for the rest of his life,” Cindy said, “Our whole world changed that night.” Blake’s brain began to change, too. They first noticed it as he was coming out of that seven week comma. It all started with a simple clock. More on that later. For now, Blake had a fight in front of him. A fight for his life. . Quote “I had a clock on the dresser at the hospital all of a sudden he started concentrating on the clock and started counting everything, the ceiling tiles in the room, huge numbers things. We got him a watch for his birthday while he was in there and we had to take it off during therapy because all he was concerned about was the time,” Cindy said. As Blake continued to improve, so did his uncanny, almost superhuman, connection with all things numbers and time. “He’d wake up and go, ‘Dad, it’s 8:21 in Afghanistan ‘ or it’s 30 past whatever. He just started doing all these numbers, and when a nurse or therapist would come in and mention something about math, Blake would start spitting out all this information quickly. Not just quickly, accurately,” Pat recalled. Makes me wonder if Thomas Fuller also experienced head trauma; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Fuller_(mental_calculator)
