Mostly agree. It also could be that something that was tolerable at the beginning of the expedition was getting more and more unwanted. Still, I think you are quite right.

According to investigators, Joseph’s Mack truck towed a trailer with an unsecured load which leaked the human waste over the lanes of the highway. As a result, the roadway was slick. Human waste spill leads to several spinouts along I-95 in Bridgeport (wfsb.com)
