Michael Eastes Posted November 10, 2001 Posted November 10, 2001 I recently came across an old Airfix 1/72 scale Boulton-Paul Defiant kit from the '70s. I sat down to start building, and the center bottom wing piece is missing. Does anyone have contacts for old parts, obscure kits, etc.? I tried Airfix, but the kit is long out of production.
EW Posted November 10, 2001 Posted November 10, 2001 How bad and how fast do you want to complete that terrible kit?I could dismantle my own, since I got no use for it.See link below, then you will understand what I mean http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a rticle.asp?data=9770861242/9771642496_~d_20011010_155824_~t_Contest_@034tip@034_~a_Martin_Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml://http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/news/a..._Waligorski.xml [Edited by Ensign wanker (10 Nov 2001).]

If you have the part,I'd welcome it. Also the right side of the fuselage is broken into about 5 pieces. Let me know what you need from me,and I'll send it. Thanks,Michael
EW Posted November 10, 2001 Posted November 10, 2001 Be advised that the kit is already assembled and glued. It's the one featured in the article. What I had in mind was to saw of the wing section you needed. The fuselage part could be really difficult. Still interested? Secondly, we might have a problem. After my first reply I remember that due to 11/9 no private parcels are allowed to be sent to US. Only corporate. I'll check with the Swedish Post, if I can send it now or not. Please let me know asap, if you're still interested. EW
Michael Eastes Posted November 11, 2001 Author Posted November 11, 2001 Ensign,I'm interested-I can probably reassemble my fuselage section, but the wing piece is something I can't fabricate on my own. If you can help, let me know what you need from me as far as postage, etc. and we'll make arrangements. You can email me to save TankNet space if you want. thanks, michael
EW Posted November 11, 2001 Posted November 11, 2001 Ok, I check with the Swedish Post and let you know by mail.EW
DougRichards Posted November 12, 2001 Posted November 12, 2001 I sort of thought that that kit amy still be available.... I'll keep my eyes open for you.
Mark Walter Posted November 14, 2001 Posted November 14, 2001 Check out the Parts Yard. It's a guy who collects spare model parts for people to use. He just asks for postage costs and if you have any extra parts you can give them to him. http://pages.infinit.net/jmarcpe/summary2000.htm
