i have the t-72 kit and i know that the turret is not so good. what is the best option for replacement if i want to make a syrian tank?

I'm sorry, but what is wrong with the turret?

 

I've built the kit, and it builds up nice, and seems to me to be an accurate representation of a T-72M.

 

What variant of the T-72 are you looking to build? I believe the Syrians use a couple of different variant.

i asked the same question on ML forum and someone said that the measurments of the turret is a bit wrong.

 

the model itself is really great.

 

i know that the syrians use the basic T-72 and the M1 version. i want to build a dio of the 1982 lebanon war and i like to know which types were used by the syrians then. if i knew the right colors it could be great too... (-:

Does anyone knows were I can get the Tamiya T-72 in Germany?

I try to get my hands on it since years... my dealer told me Tamiya does not deliver it to Germany for any resaon...

Some years ago I saw the model untouched in a orginal box during a model show... I was so happy and wanted to buy it... till I saw the price... 200,-DM (about $100) the price tamiya claims in the cataloge is about 45,- DM... as you could think I was really pissed... any chance to get it for the "normal" price here?

well.... i bought my T-72 here in israel for 190 NIS.... it's a really high price. it's about 40-45 dolars....

tamiya kits are always high priced. but you can't pass over the quality. the kit is great. i looked for it for a very long time. it's hard to find these models in israel.

 

if you want you can order the kit from an online store. i know a store in israel which has an international posting service...

 

and if someone can help me on the syrian version i would be very happy... (-:

Your best option would be to see what it would cost to buy from www.rollmodels.com or www.greatmodels.com Both offer international shipment at a reasonable cost, but you will need a credit card or to mail a intl. money order.

 

The retail price of the T-72 here in the USA is $41 US. Prices at Roll models are $32.
