I'm looking for some 5"/25 open AA guns from the Revell 1/425 Arizona kit. Will buy or trade for.

I need about ten of them for a diorama I'm making, inspired by a Tom Freeman painting (printed in the new PH Illustrated book) of Enterprise entering PH at dusk on the 8th of Dec, '41. She passes by the still burning Arizona wreck with her crew lining the rails in shock.

I'm using the Revell Arizona and the Revell 1/480 Yorktown (the Yorktown kit's galleries more cloely resemble the pre-war fit than the Enterprise kit's), and my Arizona kit is missing a pair of the 5" AA guns, and I want to replace the ones on the carrier.

Is anyone interested in a box of 1/35 scale more-or-less modern US armor, etc.? Included will be at least one M1, one LAV, one HMMVW Avenger, several troops, and possibly other goodies. All are built and painted in a rushed camo job but come with a few extra parts. I really don't remember just what's in the box (it's been packed up for years). All free to good home for covering the shipping.

Guess what Steve.... I thnk I can help again... biggrin.gif Just tell me this is it the old Revell Arizona? Because the one I have doesn't say.. it just says that it's 17" (43.2cm) So I may have the stuff seeing that my first Arizona was a COMPLETLE FAILURE early in so a lot of it are still on the sprues. Email ok. justinian_ii@hotmail.com Just in case you forgot. smile.gif

OK, next offer: one box of built, 1/72 scale US helos (about 10 + an A-10). Some were hastily built; all have been boxed up for years, and there are almost certainly broken parts.

If no one responds in a short while, the box goes on eBay: for you guys, I'll take shipping costs.

Just remember to leave the 1.1" gun tubs empty on AZ. They were never fitted, nor were the 3"/50s of the substitute progam.

Right-o, King. And the searchlight placement is wrong (easy to fix, especially since the stack was completely gone), there were no a/c aboard, the awning astern was still rigged, the radar mounting platform was bare, and the forward 5" on the upper deck was a 5"/51 surface mount, not a 5"/25 AA. I don't have a copy of Stillwell, but I've been doing a LOT of research and have found some great pics.
