ShotMagnet Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I'm genuinely unhappy to hear that. I hope that you'll change your mind; in the meantime hang onto your stuff. You may find that you want to use it again (if not now). Shot
DB Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Well, Charles, if you put the same amount of skill and effort into your other interests, then you'll be a huge success. Thanks for sharing your masterpieces with us.
Corinthian Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Saw your message at the IPMS-Philippines board and my first reaction was "Please don't tell me Charles got offended by my reply about your suggestion for a proposed Cold War/Modern AFVs group build." I've seen people leave the hobby for one reason or the other. I don't find it particularly sad though, and I'm sure I'll end up leaving the hobby years from now at the rate I'm going (work commitments sure kills the hobby). That said, thanks for sharing your most excellent work and good luck with whatever you will be doing. I'll be emailing you re:stuff you're giving away, later.
Coldsteel Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 You're a skilled bloke and I've certainly been impressed by your work, I reckon you'll be back sometime.
Charles King Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 Thank you all. I really appreciate the compassion you all have for the hobby and members in general. Thanks for inspiring me to better myself. I will surely be checking back from time to time to see how everyone is doing. Thanks again...and God bless.
Jacques Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Charles, it is a terrible thing to loose you. I hope that your "other" endevours are just as fruitfull. It has been a blast "working across from you". I hope to get as far into scratchbuilding as you did and to be able to do it as well. Happy trails and see you around some time.
Charles King Posted April 1, 2008 Author Posted April 1, 2008 you Jacques. Kind regards. I still will finish off the Stryker ESV before calling it quits. But thanks for the kind sentiments.
Archie Pellagio Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Sad to hear you do great work. I gave up the hobby years ago and now just can't get back into it no matter how hard i try, my skills have deteriorated and I just don't get the joy anymore... I hope you reconsider...
