I need parts from a 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 1 kit

Hello. Anyone here has an old Challenger 1 kit or two up for donation? I don't require a whole kit. I just need the main gun, commander's cupola, hatches, the upper turret half, smoke launchers, the bins, TOGS and the gun crutch/travel lock. Assembled or painted will do. Thanks.

I have a Mk10 in Berlin Brigade colours in my mind.

 

My other CR1 is slated to be an Al-Hussein.

Currently doing the Mk11 with interior. It felt lonely and since I have another Chieftain lying around, I'll be doing the Mk10 in BB scheme for which the cupola and 120mm I'm requesting will go to.

 

I ain't got enough pix of the Falcon turret to build it from scratch. The Al Hussein with add-on armour, and M1A2-style CITV and main gun though is much easier to do as well as more recognizable. Unless someone has side, top and rear pix of the Falcon turret....

 

That said, having just reviewed the Al Hussein pix you sent me before, apparently I don't need the Challenger 1's 120mm gun anymore, having forgotten that the Al Hussein uses the M256/L44. I'll use what I currently have for the Mk10.

Tomas, Osprey do a book called 'Modelling the Challenger Tank' that actually has someones interpretation of the Falcon turret. I seem to recall they show what the rear of the turret looks like.

 

I do agree that the retrofitted Challenger1 looks a lot better though. Remember that at least one of them has had uparmour on the turret front fitted. Wonder if they have full stab on it now?

 

They also reference the kind assistance of someone called 'Robert Griffon'. Cant think who that can be....

 

Yup, the Al-Hussein I be doing sometime this year will have the uparmour package. I'm not so sure though about what else they placed on it to be the Al-Hussein. Other than the CITV like the M1A2SEP, the smoothbore gun, and the add-on armour at the turret front, what else was added to it?
