Corinthian Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 IPMS-Philippines Bert Anido just held the 2007 Nationals the past week. Here's the link to pix: http://nationals.ipmsphilippines.com/ The centerpiece of the Nationals this time is the Japanese task force about to attack Pearl Harbor: Alas, I wasn't able to join, not even visit, due to work. I heard it was very good. Next year it'll be the 40th (?) anniversary of IPMS-Phils BA, and I reckon next year's Nationals will be much bigger and better.
Garth Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Thanks, Tomas! I only noticed a few pictures on that webpage. Are there plans for the club(s) to post more comprehensive pictures of the models? --Garth
Corinthian Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Thanks, Tomas! I only noticed a few pictures on that webpage. Are there plans for the club(s) to post more comprehensive pictures of the models? --Garth Yup. There'll be more pix as they come. I reckon the members are a bit busy in uploading the pix. I'm waiting for the pix as well. The centrepiece was supposed to be the Battle of Leyte Gulf, however AFAIK, it wasn't finished until the Nationals. Then again, maybe it wasn't ready when it opened and that they probably were able to set it up before it ended.
Corinthian Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 Some pictures (mostly people-pix) here: http://images.ipmsphilippines.com/thumbnai...m=14&page=1 Mr. Eduard.cz was there to grace the event. Lots of the guys got their Eduard kits signed. More pix will come once members who've taken them have submitted the same to the webmaster(s).
Corinthian Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Some pix: 1/48 aircraft: The Bone shown here won in the 1/48 category. 1/144 modified Hornet and F-16. Radar seems to have been scratchbuilt. Wow. These won as well IIRC. Beautiful. Just beautiful. I have no idea what this is. A mine breaching vehicle?
ShotMagnet Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The Sherman is a T1E3 (I think) and yes, is a mine-clearing vehicle. Popularly called the 'Aunt Jemima'. Shot
shootER5 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The Sherman is a T1E3 (I think) and yes, is a mine-clearing vehicle. Popularly called the 'Aunt Jemima'.Shot The "Aunt Jemima" was the term for the T1E3/M1 Roller. It was attached to a Sherman and pushed: I've seen that big-wheeled prototype, but the T-number escapes me.
cbo Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Some pix: I have no idea what this is. A mine breaching vehicle? Mine exploder T10. 1944 prototype which didn't make it to combat or production. cbo
