I managed to make it through the Aircraft section in just about an hour or so.

 

Thanks Vlad! I've been trolling around the various modelling sites (particularly Hyperscale and ARC) on/off since Saturday morning hitting the links to Nationals pix. My guess is that I've probably looked at 5000 thumbnails or so, and maybe expanded/downloaded 1500. Yet everytime I see a new set I find stuff that the other sets didn't cover. For instance, I've seen that B-46 in the background of multiple shots ... but your site was the first one that had an actual full-frame picture of it. Some of those foreign F-16s as well.

I think there's one hiding in there, Shot. There was definitely one at the show - if not in Vladimir's pictures (I'm on modem - not going to go trolling through 19 pages of thumbnails to find it) then in other's pics - completed as one of those Hawkins firebomber conversions.

Thanks, I was really looking for something with the turrets, painted blue. The post was a weak attempt at humor; I built a PB4Y2 for a friend (and am building another, for the same friend). The conversion is the KAE vacuform in both cases, and neither build has to date gone swimmingly.

I have the Matchbox kit in 1/72 tucked away in my stash, unbuilt. It's my second one - the first I built back before I really had the skills to do it right (and the Matchbox kit requires a good deal of skill to build right). I think I cannibalized the props for my spare-parts bin prior to chucking it out in the garbage.

 

I've been meaning to order the Cobra update set ... but keep forgetting to since the kit is pretty far down on my build-list.

 

There was also the Meteor kit in 1/48. Dave Klaus showed me one during a visit to the Meteor offices/warehouse ... absolutely phenominal for a resin kit. But I don't build 1/48 ... especially 1/48 at that kind of price.

Yeah, USD 250 or more is a bit spendy any way you look at it. I understand that the kit had issues as well, though I don't know what they are or were.
