Guest EJ0301 Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Hi, I am trying to get some info on the attack trajectory or flight path of the any top attack or dive attack ATGMs that are currently available in the market ie. TOW2B for the former and Spike ER for the latter. Anyone can direct me ot any sites that might have an overview to these weapons? I have tried all the usual suspects (FAS, gobalsecurity) and came up with nothing. All help appreciated. Thanks!
Daan Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 There are quite some Javelin and Spike videos available on YouTube which show (without giving precise numbers) the top attack profile. The following site features a couple of videos on the Spike, with footage from the seeker included (see 2nd video). http://www.israeli-weapons.com/weapons/mis.../GillSpike.html
Ssnake Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 (edited) I've seen a TOW-2B video, don't remember the web address unfortunately, that showed the TOW sharply climbing shortly before the target, then detonating. Seems like if the sensor has picked up the target it does a final adjustment for optimal standoff. Edited April 26, 2007 by Ssnake
Guest EJ0301 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Thanks for the input but is the possibly of find literature rather than videos even possible?
