sunday Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Newly(?) declassified video on the Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion Program. Lots of interesting footage.
Ivanhoe Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_Reactor_Experiment A lot of beryllium alloys were used in various nuke projects and products. Sadly, the liver toxicity of beryllium was not really understood at that time. The field of work concerning human safety in a radioactive environment is called health physics; https://engineering.tamu.edu/nuclear/academics/degrees/undergraduate/hlph.html https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1201176/
