Ivanhoe Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 We had just started a "favorite youtube video" thread in the Time Before Pruning. Let me start one anew. Here's one for you fans of roundball; http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...26451&hl=enIts a collection of videoclips of Pistol Pete Maravich at his best. You younger folk might not appreciate what a phenom Pete was. I saw him play a bit when I was a kid, but only recently have I grasped what a talent he was. At the time, I thought he was more show than go, but now that I've seen highlight sequences I can better understand just how good he was and what milestones he set in ball handling. And for you Simpsons fans; http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8...omedy&hl=enalways blow me away to see this weird voices coming out of normal looking people.

These may not stay there for long, but enjoy while possible. That's pretty cool. I love the strafing I-16s. The tanks look pretty good, too. Why doesn't the Russian infantry have bayonets?
Briganza Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Why doesn't the Russian infantry have bayonets?I thought that as well. I was under the impression that Russian infantry had them glued to the end of the rifle as you never see them without them. It took me some time to realise that it was Finland and not the Germans, as I could not quite understand why the rifles were wrong and the lack of MGs. Is the film due out or is it only on limited release?
Murph Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Rave Whoa, this dude needs some thorazine..... And this one just needs a bullet.... Radical Muslims in mosque

Is the film due out or is it only on limited release? It has been out for years. About those bayonets, i think they could not get enough of them and making of them would be too expensive to Finnish movie industry. Also, there is mater of safety if people are running around with bayonetted rifles. Edit: Film came out -89! Director Pekka Parikka, based on book by Antti Tuuri.Acording Wikipedia, film released in US is only 125 minutes, and original movie lasts 195 minutes.
