Just a follow-on to the topic, Greek defense magazines quoting German officials report that the armor problem of the Greek Leopard-2A6HEL has been solved with the adding of an additional 30-50Kgr (unspecified exactly) of armor components in the space between the cavity of the gunners sights, without affecting the perfrmance of the targetting sights or the Tank.

The solution established has no special needs in terms of structural changes to the turret itself (according to the sources), therefore it can be implemented to the 30 units already manufactured without any significant difficulty.
