I got out of the Army before my unit got the M-60A3, so I never had a chance to try out thermal sights. The worst part of gunnery for me was identifying targets, which might be a green panel in a grassy area. I was also one of the crazies who wouldn't fire unless I was sure that I had identified the target. I doubt that I would have had a long career in combat against vehicles equipped with Kontras.
