Stefan Kotsch Posted February 28 Posted February 28 In the orange field there are controls for the use of the AL while TC is firing. In the red circle, the control panel for fill up and remove ammunition and emergency operation is in the event of failures (manual operation in partial steps).
Stefan Kotsch Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Everything is a little more detailed here: @By the way, this panel has further switches under a protective flap: Edited March 2 by Stefan Kotsch
Bichri001 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 @Stefan Kotsch thank you very much for such a detailed answer.
Bichri001 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 T-72B3Ms now seem to be equipped with Relikt ERA plates on the UFP.

Stuart Galbraith Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I saw a strange model the other day of what looked like a gun over hull SPG proposal based on a T72 chassis (I guess a contender for what became 2S19). Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Does this ring a bell with anyone? When first developed 2S19 used a T-72 chassis, but due to a number of shortcoming elements from the T-80 were integrated. Perhaps you are referring to an early prototype? Other SPGs based on T-72 chassis have been proposed, but not in Russia (France, Slovakia and Poland amongst others)
Stuart Galbraith Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Yes, it was some strange prototype concept design, no idea if it actually got built or not. Ill see if I can find the model later on twitter, it would better illustrate things. Most notable for me was the reduced number of roadwheels, a large circular turret ring, a gun over hull, and, IIRC, a large box at the rear to take the rounds. Just wondered if it rang a distant chord at all.
Peter3110 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I saw this on an Indian news site this morning. Don't know if it's a serious project or not.

I mean just look at it and at the tehnology used. I didn't realized it was April 1st, but I was 90% sure the tank is fake. Why would the use the older ARENA array with the exposed large Doppler radar, when Arena-M with multiple smaller sensors exists and is in active production on the T-90Ms? as far as I can see, there are no actual Arena casette launchers visible on tank. Why would they use the older sperate barrel mounted KPD-1/2 laser rangefinder when all the sights for the 125mm in prosduction have an integrated LR. Being based on the T-90 it's safe to assume it has an autoloader. So in my opinion, it doesn't really make sense to put a manually operated HMG on the gunner's hatch(left)- Gunners also doesn't seem to have any ision blocks at all. It also doesn't exactly make sense to strain your already limited tank production with a new model when more T-90Ms could be made.
