I often find it enlightening to see what others think of what we may consider the final word in a solution, many tanks were built and indeed a number of them still run on the AVDS 1790 diesel system. In other parts of the world during the 1970s, many tanks were also produced with derivates of the v-2-34 engine, specifically the v-55, and the v-46 diesel engines. Now as it is no secret that there are at least a few examples of the AVDS 1790 that have arrived in Russia, what I wonder about is how they thought of the engineering and advantage/detriment compared to the systems that were employed. I have tried to keep the time of comparison to about the 1970s' so hopefully no one runs afoul of anything that may cause legal implications up to and including an externally induced cerebreal hemmorage. And anyone who has had practical experience of working on the V-55 and AVDS 1790 please feel free to chime in.
