  1. Nevermind, got the Twitter heads up. https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/announcements/book-club-tank-destroyers-0920/
  2. Where can we find it on YouTube?
  3. Good stuff. 165db?!? Yeesh! DTIC has several other Human Factors reports.
  4. I just got my first one, on the A15. He does some serious digging. Who is this guy?
  5. Movie director and tank historian! That’s impressive!
  6. Who is this masked author? I purchased this book on the A15 Crusader. https://www.amazon.com/Cruiser-Mk-Vi-Crusader-Technical-History/dp/1326278347/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1OJLM4021KUQX&dchild=1&keywords=p.m.+knight&qid=1599185521&s=books&sprefix=P.m.+kni%2Cdigital-text%2C144&sr=1-2 It’s heavy on the technical side. Is this a real author’s name? The book is great. Sounds like a fake, redundant name: “P.M.” “Knight”
  7. Ken, do you think they could keep their island bases supplied by airlift if they put enough Air Defense on those islands?
  8. Or try this link https://www.secretprojects.co.uk/threads/visit-to-museum-of-american-armor.35146/#post-411017
  9. Going to need more upload space.
  10. August 29, 2020. The Museum of American Armor is in Bethpage, Long Island. https://www.museumofamericanarmor.com/ I visited today. Some pics.
  11. Very off topic, but Bill Lind has turned about to be quite the nut job.
  12. Manic, would you say that with the PICVCs on, that ambient tank noise was barely noticeable? Do you think it made a difference in protecting your hearing? Also did the turbine on the M1 help in that regard compared to the Bradley or your time in a Chieftain? ‹ Btw, found PICVCs on EBay for $250. The manual you attached was impressive too.‹
  13. Just watched the Chieftain clip. Didn’t know the modern CVCs use noise cancellation. I figured that was a personal purchase. I'm not even sure where one would make a personal purchase of such a thing. But, yes, they have active noise reduction. Plus they also have an amplification setting so that you can hear people talking to you as if you weren't wearing a helmet at all. https://assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/headphones/combat_vehicle_crewman_headset/pdfs/PICVC_Repair_Manual-Bose_Corp-Rev-1.0.pdf Quick Threadjack.
