  1. That's why they are routing the deal through Spain: http://elpais.com/diario/2010/10/25/espana/1287957605_850215.html In short: sales of between 200 and 270 Leopard 2E tanks made by General Dynamics Sevilla-Santa Barbara Sistemas. Good for everyone at the same time.
  2. Sometimes, not even the Minimaus helps, I got pitted against 4 Tetrarchs and managed to do away with 2 and a quarter before they did me in, an intense 2 minutes of battle....
  3. Nope, too many inequalities that weren't addressed until 1905 - eventually there would be a revolution.
  4. If Rich said it, it must be true, probably Richard told him Trusting anything by a certain Tiger over Rich is like calling the Earth flat, you can, but it cannot be proved by any means.
  5. The Soviets were in love with missiles, so they would have deployed accurate missiles fired from all kind of platforms, from GLCMs to balistic missiles. Warheads could have included some frightening payloads, like bio weapons (they had an extensive biological warfare program) or binary chemical weapons.
  6. The USSR had an extensive program of technical intelligence, so a good deal of R&D was in fact performed in the West on their behalf, they had an issue replicating and putting into production stolen designs, though. There would still be a big incentive to sell them forbidden technology in exchange for good old cold cash.
  7. M4 105mm is one the most fun tanks, I preferred it to the Easy 8, although the 76mm machine-gun is hard to match.
  8. Thing is, all of this would be dependent on the WP stance. If Gorby is not around to go for a defensive doctrine, large scale cuts on NATO would be unthinkable or I missed something?
  9. The 11th Hussars (Queen's own), Catering Corps?
  10. And the nerf bat strikes again!! "All light and medium tanks from AMX 12t (i.e. AMX 12t, AMX 13 75, AMX 13 90, Lorraine 40t, Bat Chatillon 25t) will be raised one Tier upwards"
  11. Only "winning" strategy the Germans could try at sea would be sailing the whole fleet escorting an invasion of Britain early in 1914 to try to kick the Brits out of the war and hope for the best.
  12. T-55/T-62 with BDD pointing at the camera?
  13. What, they don't? I'm sure you're all completely misunderstanding this initiative: it's not about cutting capabilities, it's about transforming British Army to highly efficient fifth generation military force! Or was it sixth generation, I tend to lose track of these. Of course not, they are a force multiplier, power is wielded by powerpoint, of course.
  14. But then, continuing with that timeline, the Euro will collapse around 1960, and amid the chaos rises Rudolf Hitler (grandson of gefreiter Adolf Hitler) with a message of radical nationalism and antisemitism, promising a Neue Deutschland and therefore saving Tanknet's Clanturbation fantasies And disaster is avoided... But no! Because in this case, the Euro (which would be called the Mark - or maybe Thaler, or Gulden, or Krone ) wouldn't be subject to the borrowing whims & statistical fakery of the Greeks & Spanish & Irish over-building, but be under the stern discipline of the Reichsbank, which will most definitely not underwrite anyone elses extravagance. There will be no negotiations with 'partners' about how many billions to give away: decisions will be made behind firmly closed doors in Berlin. You want a building bubble? I´ll give you a bubble building!:

  16. Er, no, Spanish aims were not to make all of Europe catholic (wouldn't explain the wars with catholic France, would it?). The aim was to stop English support for the Dutch rebels and to preserve the monopoly over trade with the American colonies, both were achieved in the end as Engalnd was being forced into a war of attrition that it could ill finance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Spanish_War_(1585)
  17. There, and there were other Armadas after the first - it's usually forgotten that at the end of the day, the English threw the towel and asked for terms, but it was after Elizabeth's death.
  18. On the other hand, and let me be clear that no insult is being proferred, could it be a failure of leadership?, by not taking into account the differences between men and women? part of leading is making do with you have rather than trying to do more than you are able to?
  19. Whatever women do, this point requires further elaboration: And photos, forget about the text, just put up the photos. We want the imagery.
  20. Why would anyone choose to command the Red Army in 1945 with Stalin looking over your shoulder and ready to send you to command the Odessa military district if you succeed or worse....? Better command the US Army and aim to be Secretary of State or President, post-war.
  21. MiG-33, PAK-FA and MFI would be dependent on political winds as they are in real life, who knows?, Sukhoi may prevail anyway.
  22. Yak-41M for sure, the Yak-36 was pretty poor and they were withdrawn en masse in 1992, so something would be needed for the decks of the Kievs, MFI possibly.
  23. OOoooooh... How much does that rig cost?
