  1. Let's assume hypothetically that Ukraine was involved. What do you think should happen?
  2. I think the Americans tend to contract out their wet work to 3rd parties. Still remember a Frontline where they were turning over an ISIS soldier to the Iraqis, where no doubt he was treated with the utmost respect. With Mr. One Ear, I bet his level of cooperation on questioning increased during the procedure.
  3. Urbanoid was suggesting that Europe could move forces to Asia to participate in the containment of China. I merely commented to Urbanoid that were Europe to hypothetically do that, my understanding of the basic geography of Eurasia would allow for China to return the favor in Belarus and Russia.
  4. Assuming the Ukrainians were involved, what would you do if you were in charge?
  5. Ukrainian city defenses have been most effective when using those monster block Soviet era slabs of apartment housing. Can a 3000kg bomb drop one of those with a hit or two?
  6. Not sending US taxpayer money to line the pockets of the US military industrial complex seems like an issue alot of voters can support. You sure this is going to make her more hated, or just more hated amongst neocons and Washington swamp types?
  7. The British have been trying to reverse the outcome of the US war for independence since 1914. If only Washington would ignore their victory in 1783, see reason, and start taking orders from London again.
  8. Next time before telling me what a NATO-Chinese confrontation might look at, feel free to notice that the Chinese can reach Belarus via Russia.
  9. They'll have to put booster rockets on them to increase the range I think.
  10. Feel free to post at length explaining why the attack was the appearance of action. Everything I'm seeing at this end is that the Ukrainians just got hammered at their powerplants all over the country and that more attacks are coming.
  11. That depends on whether China sends expeditionary forces to Belarus and Russia, obviously.
  12. Looks to me like at the 14 second mark of the video the KH-101 was shot down.
  13. https://bulgarianmilitary.com/2024/02/22/russian-troops-master-tank-field-repairs-to-factory-standard/ Requires a damage recovery rate higher than 0%.
  14. UN ceasefire resolution vetoed by Russia and China. Russian official said that the resolution was not properly worded to require a ceasefire.
  15. The Russians always make the necessary noises to keep their options open. In this case, I see recent reports that the intended size of the Russian army on the Finnish border will be of a scale to cause Josh to wonder how it could be possible with all the Russian armor losses in Ukraine.
  16. This is where we part ways on this stuff. You seem to believe, as an act of almost Christian religious faith, that vile pieces of shit like Dick Cheney or Tony Blair are not capable of lying in order to start wars and kill people. Then you hammer that message home with a tenacity around here that makes Rick's Bible thumping look pedestrian in comparision. I don't know why you have this faith, but you do. I, on the other hand, have an equal amount of faith that Western leaders can and will lie, and cheat, and deceive, and act maliciously and malevolently if the believe they have reason or incentive to.
  17. Curious how for the Russians you have one standard of proof, and for anything underhanded by the Americans, you require a level of proof about 3 or 4 orders of magnitude greater. The tell tale sign that Iraq's days were numbered as of 1989 was that as the Iraqi army built up on the Kuwaiti border, being watched in real time by the Americans, the Americans sent no warnings, did nothing. Do not interrupt your enemy as they are making a mistake. The tell tale sign that the Americans were lying about the chemical weapons was the use of 3rd party intelligence inserted into the decision making cycle, here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_Dossier This is an old trick that Trump is familiar with. The intel is fake and has been manufactured to fit the requirements of a foreign policy objective The Americans know it's fake, so they get foreign intelligence services to manufacture the evidence. The reason is simple - foreign intelligence services are not beholden to US law and can pass fake documents to the US without committing a crime. The US government cannot generate fake intel using American agencies without creating risk of prosecution at some later date. But, if a foreign government provides the "intel", and the US government is clear that they are acting on the basis of foreign intel, everyone is off the hook. The Americans committed no crime, and the foreign intel services that fabricated the dossier committed no crime. All hands are washed.
  18. The Russians don't care about Finland or Sweden - they were already in NATO's sphere anyways. Ukraine though, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, these places - different story. The Americans in particular were incensed with the idea of a direct Russian-German pipeline. The reason I think is simple - they didn't trust the Germans to shut the damn thing off.
  19. What's the recovery and repair rate for Russian armor damaged during attacks?
  20. So Roman, was your surrender monkey Putin somehow confused when he hit all these Ukrainian power plants? Or do the Russian "pro-Russians" have some sort of 4 dimensional chess explanation on how hitting Ukrainian power plants is a request for Russia to surrender to the West? I think you have your answer on why the Russians were not bombing power plants. They were part of a target set that would not be touched if the Ukrainians refrained from attacks on things like Russian oil refineries.
  21. Question repeated. Do you think the Russians are pile driving the Ukrainian army into the grave so that NATO can expand eastwards?
  22. I thought the big objection was the construction of a direct pipeline between Germany and Russia? A pipeline that did not go through a series of intermediary countries?
  23. The USS Stark shows that Saddam was an asshole playing with fire. But, there was more to it than that. When the Iraqis were fighting the Iranians, the Americans were willing to put up with some shit so long as the two enemies were killing each other. But, when that war ended and the Wall fell, Iraq was on borrowed time from that moment on.
