Black lives matter and other groups involving racial minorities have memberships who were overwhelmingly in favor of Hillary. The art of dissuasion: Not clear if you realize "Blacktavist" was shown to be one of the GRU efforts?

He's on a roll.

Cohen to GOP lawmakers: "I did the same thing that you're doing now. For ten years. I protected Mr. Trump for ten years." His warning to them: "The more people that follow Mr. Trump -- as I did blindly -- are going to suffer the same consequences that I'm suffering." #Volkerđź‘€ https://t.co/VHI26Vzqzp

Ignore all the rhetoric, and look at behavior. America's Left (and really, all left-wing movements) is about power, not principle. All politics is about "power" because all power is the ability to influence people, policy and resources. Both Democrats and Republicans have principles that instruct the use of that power.

The primaries are a relatively new thing, and a party thing and not required by law.

Not quite - you've twisted one key detail. What people actually believe is that nobody in politics can stand up to the level of scrutiny that the system can unleash, and the existing laws on the books are so numerous, detailed, jumbled, contradictory, and open to new "innovative" interpretations, that anyone can be ensnared. With Trump, for example, the Democrats have decided that investigating Biden's kid in Ukraine is interference with the 2020 election and therefore a violation of the laws about not using personal office for campaign purposes. This level of twisting of existing laws to suit political purposes, (Biden is not yet even the Democratic nominee!) is what is at the heart of the current cynicism. Without a Special Prosecutor most of those process crimes would never be prosecuted. Remember Eric Holder lied to Congress and only got censured. Who knew it was a real crime? To get process crimes of persons not remembering what they said years past you need a Witch Hunt to get people under oath. Did he though? Emails disclosed prove otherwise. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/jun/28/eric-holder-contempt-historic-congress-vote

President Trump intervened in cases of war crimes against three members of the U.S. military, issuing pardons for two and restoring the rank of a third, all despite Pentagon concerns that such actions could undermine the military justice system. https://t.co/7fm9qYTiJLvia @WSJ

This guy? GUILTY?! Who would've thought?! â Of course this means Stone lied to Mueller about the Trump campaign.

Roger Stone found guilty on all seven counts. Add him to the growing list.

Ralph Northam: You know, I wasnt there, Julie, and I certainly cant speak for Delegate Tran, but I would tell you one, the first thing I would say is this is why decisions such as this should be made by [healthcare] providers, physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved. There are you know when we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of, obviously, the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician by the way. And its done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus thats non-viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if thats what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother. So I think this was really blown out of proportion

Who quotes actual doctors.

After all what? Please provide references for actual "post birth abortions". Which Democratic policy provides for thought control resulting in death? Must be obvious as an "inescapable truth". I would consider FDR, JFK, and LBJ, and even Carter as much more leftist than BHO. Last Dingo must be doing somthing right to unseat myself as the worst poster here. Congrats LD.

Sure. By that logic tough talk about what US troops should do in battle 3,000 miles from somebody's backyard slit trench makes the talker practically a US Navy SEAL. One is free to make that argument to the Secret Service after one threatens the life of the President.

When you base your political arguments on metaphysical concepts that are dependent on individual faith and religiosity, you will find it increasingly difficult to find any common ground in these kinds of discussions. In the U.S., why is this so? Because whether or not you realize it, or choose to realize it, the culture of religiosity has changed. Just as society changed from the 17th century of witch burning, to a less strict interpretation of the Bible, society has greatly changed over just the last 40 years. No longer is it acceptable to base arguments on some metaphysical crutch, "Because God says it so," rather you are expected to use some form a logic. Now granted, our leftist "friends" largely base their arguments on appeals to emotion, "Think of the children," that is still no reason to base your arguments on appeals to a deity. Many of us, perhaps most of us, realize to one extent or another appeals to a deity are really a short hand for cold logic. Sometimes they couch biological imperatives, such as the survival of the species, into something more colorful and less harsh. Let the Leftists argue from hollow emotional stands, which is what is currently tearing them apart, while you dig deeper into the foundations of your beliefs and argue from there.Empathy for the most vulnerable and dependent members of our society is to be derided as a hollow emotional stand. Let that sink in.
