There are two types of opposition of THAAD deployment. 1) It is wrong because it did not go thru the agreement within the National Assembly. 2) It is wrong because it is wrong. Moon and major candidate who opposes THAAD are in category #1. I strongly believe it was part of popularism and it won't be reversed after "formal meeting" in the National Assembly due to ongoing threats from oppressive nations from the north. Secondly, since you brought up other issue here, how did Japan respect and observe its past war crimes? Why there are ongoing disbelievers and minimizing the facts? Why there are movement of "Japan did nothing wrong" stuff? How come anti-Korean related books become one of the best sellers? Why Japan justifies and teaches young children their wrongdoings?

As I said, Koreans feel betrayed by US. What would you do to a long time friend who thinks you betrayed him? Those so called factors do not mean anything to Korea. Just show them respect and friendship, and Korea will be next to the US.

If US really worried about the candidates favoring China, why bash Koreans in the first place? Trump's recent comments flamed Korea and there are a lot of anti-US tendency grew in last month.

Koreans feel US betrayed them. Korea went to war in Vietnam, Gulf, Afghan, and Iraq to fully support US. Today, it is boosting business and factories in US after Trump called US first policy and giving benefits for those companies hiring US citizen. What did Korea gain in return during Trump's presidency? Only betrayal, nothing else.

Chinese will never understand Korean personality. Using tough voice and threatening Korean will only cause more Koreans to hate China (same applies to US). If China really wanted to make ROK to their side (or at least remove THAAD), punishing NK would have done it.

Whoever is in charge of US-Korea relationship & adviser from Trump's cabinet should get fired. More you bash Koreans, they will resist harder. It isn't easy to realize; if you see the recent PRC's threatening to ROK, Koreans don't give a shit and instead give middle finger in return.

I may see that coming; however, if he had time to spend 5 minutes for research what is going on with THAAD issue in Korea, whatever he said has only negative impact as of now. Before he said anything, more and more Koreans with view of need of THAAD increased as time goes by due to threats from both NK and PRC. Now, it is complete disaster and everyone is against it. In addition, why should Koreans pay for THAAD? It was meant to defend US bases from any NK ballistic attacks.

Haha this is beyond ridiculous. Trump should now change the U.S. Armed Forces to U.S. Mercenary Corp and collect the money from every nation that has U.S. overseas bases.

difference to the korean model?Maybe. What is 100% sure is, all used K9 will go complete overhaul before the transfer. Korea is scheduled to receive all pieces by 2018~2019, and will go under major upgrades right after (confirmed since years ago). I do not think Finland will be receiving upgraded version, but most likely guaranteed to receive upgrades later on.

Yes there's news article that Estonia agreed to purchase K9 Thunder along with Finland's order.

Formal contract has been signed between Poland & Korea for 96 K9 chassis.
