  1. No, but I have seen ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and PBS. Pretty much the same results. They are even dumber than those. The cops have the patience of saints trying to deal with people. It's surprising how many people drive with no license, expired licenses, expired tags, no insurance, and then give officers grief over these facts.
  2. The screen cap of forum posts fully expresses: If you run into an asshole, you've run into an asshole. If everyone you run into is an asshole, you're the asshole.
  3. Have your read this? https://www.hoplofobia.info/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/MGLC-3rd-Edition.pdf What the hell is that for? You do realize that CT96 is arguing FOR gun rights? For others on here: I am also appalled at the cavalier attitude regarding the use of firearms. A firearm is a LETHAL FORCE tool, and I carry to defend my life and the lives of others. To use it otherwise is reckless. Property can be replaced, that is what insurance is for. Shit cleans up easily with water, a human life can not be replaced. Now when a person decides that it's a good idea to cause another bodily harm, you have crossed into having defend your life and another and then lethal force may be justified, but even then there are bloodthirsty lawyers and bloodthirsty family enablers of thugs who are more than happy to destroy the life of someone who isthe victim of a crime and want any excuse to do it. That one reason WHY gun owners must be responsible (and CCW holders are one of the most law abiding in this country, more than cops) All I can say is maybe those who think this cavalier shouldn't have a firearm, and just stay the f*ck away from me because I don't want your stupid around me.
  4. I recently heard "Feds doing Fed things" on those same lines. Well the gun did exactly as it was designed to do, pull trigger, go bang. There are idiots, and then there are careless assholes like this guy, and the way this guy just walks off like "not my problem" is enraging. I'm sure alcohol was a contributor, but that's why alcohol and guns don't mix. Guy should be in jail. Sadly, I don't think that will happen.
  5. Shortly After, Plywood or Steel Plate is made Illegal to carry on your person.
  6. Yeah at this point you'll need a face in front of it to get it resolved. Don't like the geek squad but that's just because the local one is horrid and they screw up stuff which helps business where I work. If there's a local shop that has a good reputation I would recommend that first.
  7. that constant updating is the reason i gave directions to go into control panel. there is a separate setting from windows update that can be turned off to stop windows from updating the driver, you may have to disconnect from the internet temporarily while you change the setting so that windows doesn't update while you work on fixing it.
  8. recent windows updates have been updating display drivers with newer ones that haven't been fully compatible, thus the problem. in device manager the display driver can be rolled back but the first thing that needs to happen is if you type 'windows key' and r you'll get the run dialog. type control to get into control panel. look for system, click on it. then on the left look for advanced system settings. a new small window will open, click on the hardware tab, and then device installation settings, in the dialog that opens, click on no. that will stop windows update from updating device drivers, which doesn't need to be micromanaged like microsoft is doing.if you don't know how to roll back device drivers let us know. note - i'm used to speaking with 70 plus year olds who have absolutely no clue what to do so my instructions are very basic, i'm not being condescending, i'm just used to having to give instructions in this way. if you know how to do stuff let me know and i'll abbreviate instructions
  9. ok, go Yes, settings>internet options>advanced>reset. Now when I try to load Firefox Notepad opens. try start-settings, the crappy win10 settings, not control panel, go to apps, and default apps, and you should have an option to 'reset to the microsoft recommended defaults' that will reset all the program defaults.
  10. jwb do you know how to reset internet explorer? if not i'll give you directions.
  11. I'll try to help you get unstuck, Middle of work (which this is exactly what I do is get people's PC's unstuck) . If you're comfortable following Microsoft's instructions on the following you can try it. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/950505/when-you-run-an--exe-file-on-a-windows-xp--windows-vista-or-windows-7
  12. Ok, what appears to be going on is .exe files are not opening right. I'm going to link to you two pages. One is for tenforums which is where a file will be linked for your verification, and the next will be the link for the actual file to save you some work. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8703-restore-default-file-type-associations-windows-10-a.htmlscroll down, you are looking for exe in that list and you can download it from the page OR, Click on this one and download the file directly. https://www.tenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/52455d1449507854-default-file-type-associations-restore-windows-10-a-exe.reg Once you download it, double click on the file and it will ask you if you want to run it. Click run. Then you will get a prompt about "Adding information can unintentionally change or delete values...." going ahead and click yes. Once that's done you need to restart your computer.. That should resolve your issue.
