I have only general description of turret controls. IMHO- memory unit is still a mechanical device(I can be wrong here- full description with diagrams needed) -ET fuses are being automatically programmed during loading cycle if engagement is conducted by gunner; there are still open questions about TC override and ET fuses. -Mode setting for V429E(or what is used now) is an "old school".

The memory unit of the carousel has 4 memory slots for type. With an additional control panel can be selected one ammunition type per ammo cassette in carousel. There are thus real available only 3 ammunition types and the ATGM plus types "R" and "S" (What do the letters "R" and "S"? mean?). As an example. It can not be mixed different types APFSDS. Did I get that right or am I wrong ? Ok, "S"- is a high-explosive shell with 3VM18 electronic time fuse and "R" is a anti-personnel flechette shell 3VSh7(with 3VM17 ET fuse); to use them tank must be fitted with fuse setter(actually only command tanks have them during peace-time service, so technically "line" T-90 can use only 4 types of the rounds incl. missile). Automatic loader for T-72B(AZ-184) support 3 artillery rounds and a guided missile; automatic loader of T-90(AZ-185) is capable to support 6 types of ammunition(at least in theory), but I`m not sure about vehicles build to export specs. Actually gunner of "domestic specs" T-90 can select for loading any of mentioned 6 rounds, TC- only five(he can not load or fire missile in "Double" or "Double-PA" modes).

T-90 autoloader holds 22 rounds, just like Sprut and T-72. I don't know however if, after autoloader is depleted, crew tops up autoloader or if the other rounds are fed directly to the gun. oh...... I remember read that gunner select 6 munition to be shot.. after wards than reloading... so that is 6/22 ? T-90´s autoloader holds 22 rounds; memory device supports 6 types of main gun ammo- KE, CE, HE, missile, HE w/ ET fuse, APERS w/ET fuse.

Seat not only rotates with gun mount, but also it is slaved to the gun in vertical plane(with intention to simplify optics). This ominous solution was dropped later due negative impact on ergonomics. Well... This is not clear, but entire project was abandoned because inability of subcontractors to provide required sighting and observation equipment(if I remember story correctly).

For wheeled version- W-shaped to accommodate suspension units and drive shafts. Not so sure about new tracked version, but its highly possible, that W-shaped layout is retained(just to keep design and manufacturing costs down).

Size- more closer to Hunnicutt´s "bibles". Content- more technical details, and more drawings from manuals, if possible. Also I would like more details on different tank-based suppport vehicle. General style of the book- specialist oriented...

This vehicle was designed as medium tank , but later proposed as tank destroyer. Technical project was completed in 1950, next year prototype was build. In attempt to increase crew protection driver was positioned in the turret, in counter-rotating cab. During trials many fails and shortcomings of control system and slip rings were found. Project was terminated because of same troubles, that will be later encountered by MBT-70 test crews. In attempt to save situation obj. 416 was redesignated as SU-100M and proposed as future tank destroyer, but not showed any significant advantage over its competitor- object 105/ SU-100P(accepted and procured in limited numbers). No sanctions against designers followed, but may be someone didnt get bonus pay

You can try to rotate engine drive shaft by crowbar(with caution) instead of pushing the tank This trick worked with T-72 at least Both electic starter and compressed air...

Actually you need only a fully charged SCUBA tank and, may be, a steel crowbar
